Today, December 15th, The Quaker Oats Company announced the voluntary recall of a number of specific granola bars and granola cereals due to potential contamination with Salmonella. You can view the details and a list of the affected products on the FDA’s Quaker Recall page.
The products are sold throughout the 50 United States, Puerto Rico, Guam and Saipan. Products include varieties of Chewy Granola Bars, Simply Granola Cereal, Protein Granola, and Puffed Granola Cereals. Some of the recalled products are included in snackbox variety packs with Frito-Lay chips. Be sure to check your pantries for any of the products and dispose of them.

thank you for this! my daughter takes a granola bar for school snack each day and has had a stomach ache all this week. Just checked our boxes and now I know why!
You’re welcome eemommy! Very sorry to hear about your daughter! Hoping she starts feeling better soon! 🤞❤️
I received an email about this from Costco today. It said to return my box to the store. It was labeled “Costco Food Safety”
Thank you for this information. I completed the required information on the recall site to get coupons for replacements. I had 4 boxes and 3 had already been put in holiday treat bags…yikes, hope no one got sick. I have eaten several bars out of the box I have left and fortunately have not had any adverse reactions from consuming them. My best by date on the boxes was May 16, 2024.
You’re very welcome, FSUGAL! 🤗 Glad this was helpful and you didn’t get sick from eating the bars you had! 💞
Thank you so much for this post. I would have had no idea as I haven’t seen it anywhere else and I have one of the recalled boxes. I truly appreciate it.
You’re most welcome, vmonaco! Happy to hear this was helpful! 💗
Thanks so much for posting. I would never know otherwise. We have buying their mini dipps birthday bars. The reimbursement request was quick n easy. Thanks for including that info.
You’re SO welcome, Kay! 🤗 Glad to hear the reimbursement request was quick and easy! 💗
Yes thank you so much! I had these to take to my kiddos sports today, but quickly pulled them all and submitted them. I don’t want anyone getting sick.
I have ten boxes and several other were already given for sports snacks. I don’t want coupons. I want reimbursement as I won’t be buying these again. I’ll be calling on Monday with my complaint about their reimbursement. I don’t need that many now nor would I trust them. I hope no one gets sick that I gave them to.
Super annoying that it asks for receipt and photo. We always ditch the boxes. I bought some over a week ago and we unpack them and put them in the bins in our pantry. Luckily I still had the boxes in my recycling bucket but I don’t have my grocery receipts anymore. And of course my kids have eaten some already…just my luck there
Take a picture of the boxes. Some of mine were open too. You don’t need the receipt. It said receipt OR boxes
Hmm, not sure what link you went through, Janelle. I used the link provided here, and it never asked me for a copy of the receipt nor photo. It merely asked me for the UPC code #, the count in the package (ex. 8), my name/address/email.
I.have 6 boxes. It only let me submit 5 because different UPC and I have 6 different flavors and all were on list. Love how it says expect coupons in 8 weeks
Darn! You might try reaching out to Consumer Relations by phone at 1-800-492-9322 to see if they can process your claim for the other box. 🤗
Odd. I received an email from Shaws regarding my purchases of a specific product with up 3000057574 and to throw them or to return them to the store but the list you posted here doesn’t include it?
Thank you Hip2Save, as always for being the ABSOLUTE BEST place to locate information on a wide variety of topics! I tried to go through several other methods to find out how to be reimbursed for my purchase of the affected recall granola bars without success. Then, I remembered my awesome friends at Hip2Save and you had the Quaker recall direct link posted! As one the commenters, Linda described, it was simple and easy to request my refund. Thanks again for all you do and have a great day! 😃💗
