    The photo at the top of the post shows that the Ring can be battery powered or hard wired but in the actual details it is only hard wired. We don’t have a hard wired doorbell so this won’t work for us.

    I have this and I use it both ways hard wire or battery. Once it’s charged up place it at the door where you would have a regular doorbell. I have re-charged it once like after seven months.
