No assembly required – take it out of the box, insert the battery and you’re ready to inflate. Like others have mentioned, I have many Ryobi products with many batteries, so this was a logical choice for me. This inflator is quick to attach to a valve stem, quick to inflate and the digital readout seems accurate (you have to release the trigger to register the tire pressure). I haven’t checked the tire pressure with a separate gauge yet but had just checked the tire a week ago, so the pressure looked right. I highly recommend it due to the ease of use and value and my batteries are not going to waste. Be sure to remove the battery when not using, per the instructions.

I have a portable air compressor (not this one), and I highly recommend getting one to keep in your car. Twice in two years, I have hit a nail and my air pressure has gone down, and being able to pump it up quickly and safely until I can get it to a repair is wonderful. Also great for filling up before a long trip, helping out a friend who has a leaky tire, etc. It has become as important to me as having jumper cables in my car.
