Next, you’ll want to choose “Add a Sticker” and pick one of the Santas from the diverse options available. There are a couple of FREE Santa options in each category, but you can unlock more poses with an in-app purchase starting at $1.99.

Insert the “sticker” of your choice, and the app will merge it with your photograph. You’ll be able to use the photo editing tools to move Santa and fine-tune your picture. When you’re ready to save the photo, choose “Export.” From here, you can opt to download the photo or share it on social media.

Capture the Magic also makes a similar app for videos. It’s called Santa Live, but it’s only for iOS at this time. It’s similar to the Catch Santa in my House App, but it does require in-app purchases.

Looking for more FREE apps that snap a photo of Santa? Try downloading the Catch A Character app. Although the features of this app are limited compared to what Capture the Magic offers, both the Catch a Character app and its downloadable photo of Santa are FREE.

Use these apps for other occasions too! Capture the Magic apps and the Catch A Character app can also help you snap photos of other visitors inside your home, like the Tooth Fairy and Easter Bunny!

Try out these other fun Christmas apps too!

Person browsing the NORAD Santa Tracker app on their phone

Use the FREE NORAD app to track Santa’s route.

The North American Aerospace Defense Command (NORAD) has been tracking Santa since the 1950s, and now they have a FREE app where you and your kiddos can track him, too!

This charming app has a countdown to Christmas and also provides plenty of information on NORAD’s mission and how and why they track St. Nick. They even have a free game and free Christmas music you can play while you wait for the big night to come!

Person using the FREE Message From Santa app

Plus, hear from Santa by using the Message From Santa app.

The Message From Santa app allows parents to set up a phone call, text message, or video call from Santa free of charge. Your child can also leave Santa a voice message!

The app itself is FREE to download, and many of the features are free to use (though you’ll receive ads). You can add on extras for a small fee, but they aren’t necessary! The free functions are very convincing, even without the add-ons.

This is a fun app to play around with, and it’s recommended that parents test it before using the app with their child. Then, you can anticipate any questions your kiddo may have and help prompt them to have a successful and magical moment with Santa.

If you ask me, this is a Christmas app worth downloading. I have to say that I was pretty impressed with my experience texting with Santa. His responses were spot on!
