My dollar tree here ( Arizona) was just putting out Valentines Day things when I was there yesterday. No St Patrick’s day yet. Also, the prices were still $1 ! The lady said they are going up to $1.25 in 2 weeks.

Is it just me OR does the $1.25 make you cranky? 🤣 I knew the dollar wouldn’t last forever. I believe a year or more ago I was talking with my mon about wonder what they’ll do with their name when inflation eventually catches up with them. Anyhoo! It bothers me a bit that things that could still clearly be a $1 are now $1.25. All the random junk I don’t need BUT I buy anyways…lipglosses, mini pads of paper, a pack of pens, holiday socks, a pack of cheap horrible batteries that I say I’ll stop buying BUT still buy every trip. 99 store is still able to charge $1. Hell target even charges $1 for some of that stuff in bullseyes 🎯 corner. So now I find myself thinking do I REALLY NEED to clutter my house with this junk more than I use to. So maybe the .25 cent increase 🤣 has helped me out 🤣
P.S. don’t get me wrong…I’ll gladly fork over my $1.25 for most of their awesome decor items. Like hello that’s a STEAL! I just wish more of it would of remained $1.
Our Dollar Tree changed their prices here in N Cal to $1.25 literally the week or two after the announcement – we have been paying $1.25 since the beginning of Dec….
