Hey Diane! I did a quick Google search on this, and found this info – “Swedish dishcloths are less likely to accumulate bacteria than other household alternatives. This is because the material — a combination of cellulose and cotton — dries incredibly fast. Without moisture, bacteria and other nasty microbes can’t reproduce.” It looks like there were several methods of sanitizing your dishcloths, like boiling in water, and microwaving (when damp only), among others. Hoping this might be helpful! 🤞❤️
I throw my Swedish dishcloths in the washing machine and dryer with my other towels and rags. They are fine.

Love these but they are so hard to keep clean especially the white parts. Seems once they’re stained the stain never comes out no matter what. Wish they were made in darker shades.

I picked some up at my local store but they rang up full price. The manager did a price adjustment and all was well. I launder these in my machine and they hold up just fine, but stains are hard to remove. I read that you can throw these in the dishwasher on the top rack but I’ve never tried it.
