This cookbook exceeded my expectations. I purchased this as a gift for a friend and I ended up ordering one for myself. The illustrations are beautiful and the recipes are easy to follow and absolutely delicious.

This book is awesome. A section for each lovely lady and all those recipes mentioned in the show (except Rose’s brown sugar maple log… darn. Every recipe sounds amazing coming from an experienced home cook and there are beautiful pictures and snippets from the show. Rose’s section is Scandinavian and farm-style rich, Dorothy’s is efficient and prepared ahead, Blanche’s is southern and sometimes light, and Sofia’s is deliciously Italian. Every recipe is thoughtfully structured and planned out, super easy, and most of all fun! Definitely trying my hand at each one. Even a Slow Gin Fizz.
