Trying to count the items in the image above? 😉 Not pictured are the wrappers of the ones we already ate (sorry, couldn’t resist 😆) Plus, about a dozen individually wrapped treats inside making this box truly shareable!

Besides enjoying yummy treats every month, this box is also an excellent way to learn about Japanese culture, since these treats are truly authentic!

My grandparents who lived in Japan haven’t seen this popular Calpis Soda since living there!🤩

With the box, you receive not only Japanese food treats but also a culture guide relating to the theme, like this one about the Japanese holiday season. This would make an awesome nostalgic gift for someone who has lived in Japan or a great introduction to someone who is considering visiting there!

Hip Sidekick, Chelsey, & her family had a BLAST trying out the Tokyo Treat box…

This Tokyo Treat box was such a hit for my entire family! My grandparents who had lived in Japan were able to validate that these were really authentic treats and they were excited to try so many that they hadn’t tasted since living there! Let me just say that ALL of these treats were tasty – even the unique milk soda (that just tasted like regular lemon lime soda ;). This could make a really fun Christmas game, like blindfolded to try some new treats, or some really fun teen stocking stuffers since there are SO MANY treats included. Highly recommend trying this box at least once!

Hip Sidekick Lina LOVED getting to experience a slice from Tokyo…

“Wow, this was so fun to open! My 17-year-old son was excited and teens are hard to impress LOL! We had so much fun trying these yummy snacks and treats! There is a book that explains each one but we kinda blind tasted everything. our favs were the candy. There was a green apple sour chewy one that is fantastic. The peach KitKats were a hit too. There was a fun DIY kit to mix up tiny ice cream candy that is fun.

My son really liked the sweet/sour pork rind-type crackers and the ramen noodles.

We give this box a big thumbs up!”

Still not sure? Check out these other reviews…

With the cost of traveling to Japan increasing recently, having a TokyoTreat subscription seems to be a bargain and can fill that longing for Japanese snacks until we can go to Japan again someday in the future. It’s amazing how much they can fit inside that box! Always full of surprises that are savory and delicious!

I enjoyed everything in my box…. even things I never would have purchased for myself! Even the things that sounded unpleasant from the description (jerky made from fish? Actually not bad!). This was a fun way to try new things, and nothing went to waste. I’ll definitely try another box sometime.

My Granddaughter is fascinated with all things Japanese and these top off our study of the culture in a sweet way.

I love these boxes. I always love the assortment of treats. Such an incredible combination of snacks and flavors. The KitKat variety is probably my favorite.

This looks like a great idea for โ€œhard to buy for teens!โ€ Iโ€™m going to get a box for my 16 year old daughter.

I bought this for my son for Christmas, heโ€™s 16! We did universal yums last year for the whole family and he loved it the most and so heโ€™s getting this!
