Celebrate Veterans Day with free meals and sweet deals!

Veterans Day 2026 is Wednesday, November 11th, and many stores and restaurants will offer free meals and other discounts, freebies, and deals for veterans, active-duty military members, and their spouses!

Please note that in many cases, proof of military service will be required to claim these offers. We recommend calling ahead to make sure that your local restaurants and retailers are participating (and to verify their ID requirements).

Here’s a look at all of the free meals, deals, and other freebies that were available for Veterans Day 2025:

10% off in-store and online at Academy Sports

All military and first responders got 10% off their in-store and online purchases at Academy Sports on November 11th, 2025. This discount was available to both members currently serving active duty and veterans from all five branches, plus the Reserves and National Guard.


Free entrée at Applebee’s

On November 11th, 2025, U.S. veterans and active-duty military could enjoy a FREE full-size entrée at participating Applebee’s restaurants (valid for dine-in only). Proof of military service wa required.


Vacation savings when you book through Armed Forces Vacation Club

Armed Forces Vacation Club (AFVC), a free membership travel club for U.S. military members and their families, offered two limited-time offers to celebrate Veterans Day 2025.

Through November 14th, 2025, members could book a seven-night stay at select ‘R&R’ resorts worldwide from as low as $329 per week.

Alternatively, new members who joined AFVC by December 31, 2025, could save $65 on a seven-night ‘R&R’ resort booking with a promo code at checkout. This option allowed members to plan vacations through the spring of 2026.

Popular destinations include Orlando, Las Vegas, Myrtle Beach, the Smoky Mountains, Glacier National Park, and many more!


Veterans ate free at Bombshells.

At all Texas and Colorado Bombshells Restaurant & Bar locations, veterans could enjoy a free entrée on Veterans Day 2025. Active servicemembers received a 20% discount, too! Proof of service was required to receive these discounts.


Bubba’s 33 offered a free lunch for Veterans.

On November 11th, 2025, veterans could join Bubba’s 33 for a free lunch from 11 am to 4 pm, or get a voucher for a future visit.


Free meal at Chili’s

Chili’s offered veterans and active military members a FREE meal on November 11th, 2025. Service members could select a free entrée from the following choices: Chicken Crispers, Chili or Soup & Salad, Chicken Bacon Ranch Quesadillas, or Oldtimer with Cheese.


BOGO entrees at Chipotle

On November 11th, 2025, from 4 p.m. to 8 p.m. local time, guests who ordered an entrée in-restaurant and presented a valid military ID received a second entrée free. This offer was valid at all US Chipotle restaurants.


Cracker Barrel served free breakfasts.

All veterans and active-duty military personnel could stop by Cracker Barrel for a complimentary Sunrise Pancake Special on November 11th, 2025. This offer was valid for dine-in only, and proof of military service was required.


Famous Dave’s gave a free lunch to Vets.

Veterans got a free Georgia Chopped Pork Sandwich Lunch with a choice of side on November 11th, 2025. This offer may vary by location, so you may want to check with your local restaurant before heading out. If ordering online, guests could use a promo code at checkout.


FREE Donut from Dunkin’

Dunkin’ offered all active, retired, and former military members a free donut on Veterans Day 2025.


Free combo meal card from Freddy’s

On November 11th, 2025, all Veterans and current military personnel could stop by Freddy’s to receive a free combo meal card – no purchase necessary! Cards were valid through December 31, 2025.


Golden Corral had free meals for Veterans

On November 11th, 2025, from 4 pm until close, all active U.S. service members, retired military, and veterans received a free “thank you” meal at Golden Corral. No purchase or military ID was required to receive the free meal.


Free meal at The Greene Turtle

The Greene Turtle honored veterans on November 11th, 2025, with a free meal! A valid ID was required to claim your free meal up to $15 (valid for dine-in at select locations only).


Great Clips gave free haircuts to Veterans

On November 11th, 2025, veterans and active service members could go into any U.S. Great Clips salon and get a free haircut or a free haircut card for a future visit.

In addition, non-military customers who got a haircut on Veterans Day at Great Clips also received a free haircut card to give to an active service member or veteran they know. These cards could be redeemed for a free haircut through December 5th, 2025.


Veterans got a free entrée at Hooters with the purchase of a beverage.

On November 11th, 2025, all retired and active-duty military personnel who presented proof of service or a military ID could order a free entrée from the Hooters’ Veterans Day Menu with the purchase of a beverage. This offer was valid for dine-in only at participating Hooters locations.

The 2025 Veterans Day Menu included four of Hooters’ select entrées:

  • 10 Original Wings
  • Cheeseburger
  • Buffalo Chicken Sandwich
  • Chicken Caesar Salad

Up to $25 off an entrée at Kobé Japanese Steakhouse

On November 11th, 2025, those with military ID or other proof of military service could receive up to $25 off a regular-priced entrée with the purchase of another full-priced entrée at Kobé Ichiban Japanese Steakhouse.


Free doughnut and small coffee from Krispy Kreme

All active military and Veterans ccould receive a free small coffee and doughnut from Krispy Kreme on Veterans Day.


Free Lunch Combo from Little Caesars

On November 11th, 2025, from 11:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m., veterans and active military could enjoy a complimentary Lunch Combo, which included four slices of Little Caesars’ signature Detroit-style Deep Dish pizza and a 20-ounce Pepsi beverage.

No coupon was required to claim this offer, but proof of service, such as a military ID, DD-214 form, or a veteran designation on your ID card, was required.


Free sandwich from Mission BBQ

Mission BBQ gave veterans a free sandwich on November 11th, 2025.


Perry’s Steakhouse had free pork chops for veterans.

On November 11th, 2025, Perry’s Steakhouse honored veterans with two special dine-in offers. Veterans could choose from a free Dinner-Cut Pork Chop (when accompanied by a guest purchasing a dinner entrée) or a 3-course meal from Perry’s $39 Military Menu.

Military ID or proof of service was required.


Free Red’s Big Tavern Burger with Steak Fries at Red Robin

Veterans and active duty service members got a FREE Red’s Big Tavern Burger with Bottomless Steak Fries with proof of service on November 11th, 2025 (dine-in only).


Veterans ate free at Salad and Go.

Veterans and active military got a FREE salad or wrap at Salad and Go drive-thrus on Veterans Day 2025! Orders must be made in the drive-thru only, and a valid military ID must be presented. The offer did not apply to online orders or third-party delivery. Limit one per guest!


Up to 30% off Samsung products

For a limited time, veterans got up to 30% off Samsung products through Samsung’s WeSalute+ Member Store. To access this discount, veterans must follow these steps to create an account.


Free coffee at Starbucks

On November 11th, 2025, veterans, active duty service members, and military spouses could enjoy a free 12oz Tall Hot or Iced Coffee at any participating Starbucks!

This free coffee offer was valid for café and drive-thru orders for those with proof of military service, and could not be redeemed via the Starbucks App. There was a limit of one per customer, and add-ins were extra.


10% off two separate purchases storewide at Target

Target offered veterans, military personnel, and their families a Circle offer for 10% off two storewide purchases through the end of the day on November 11th, 2025. This discount could be used twice, either in-store or online!


Texas Roadhouse gave out free meal vouchers.

On November 11th, 2025, from 11am to 2pm, veterans and active military personnel received a free meal voucher at participating Texas Roadhouse locations. Note that this offer may vary by location, so please contact your local restaurant before heading out.


10% off at Tractor Supply Co.

At Tractor Supply Co., verified Hometown Heroes (military service members, veterans, and first responders) received a 10% discount on November 11th, 2025.


Free meal at Wienerschnitzel

On November 11th, 2025, all veterans and active-duty military could enjoy a free Original Chili Dog, Small Fries, and Small Soda at participating Wienerschnitzel locations nationwide. This offer was available all day with a valid military ID or proof of service.


11% discount at Winn-Dixie

On November 11th, 2025, active military personnel and veterans could receive an 11% discount on their in-store Winn-Dixie purchase. Valid military ID was required to claim this offer.


Free appetizer from Yard House

On November 11th, 2025, veterans and active-duty military personnel received a FREE appetizer with a valid military ID. This offer was available for dine-in guests only, and no purchase was necessary.
