I have a PEG tube due to ALS, starting to get hard to chew and need to start using formula or blending foods my family is eating… Is this worth $300 on my limited disability income?

    • Ida Boranovsky

I would say yes. I don’t have this exact model but Vitamix and blendtec are the only 2 brands recommended for gtubes

Does anyone know if this is a plastic container or glass by chance?

    • Amber (Hip Sidekick)

Non glass - fine print on why plastic.Great question! This is plastic. ❤️ It seems none of their blenders are glass if this might be helpful!

How easy is this to clean?

    • Jessica (Hip Sidekick)

Hi there! Here’s the details I found on how to clean it, if that helps! 💗
      – Immediately after use, rinse the container with warm water to remove any remaining food.
      – Fill the container halfway with warm water and add a drop of dish soap.
      – Secure the lid and blend on high speed for about 30 to 60 seconds.
      – Rinse the container thoroughly with warm water.
      – For stubborn residue, you can use a soft brush or sponge to gently clean the blades and container.
      – Wipe the motor base with a damp cloth; do not immerse it in water.
      – Avoid using abrasive cleaners or scouring pads on the container or motor base to prevent damage.
