Any ideas how to get cash back on Ibotta for in store pickup they don’t give a receipt even when I ask for one in the store

    • Rachel

They should be giving you a receipt. I had one store not printing them for me either. Then when I did pick up at another one, they did. So I know they can and truly should. Walgreens has a record of it. Maybe call customer service and see if there is anything they can do to help.

Make sure that you do not have digital receipts only selected in your account. You can toggle it back and forth in the app. This one is very important: do NOT signal by text, app, or the email that you are on the way to pick it up. If you do it moves to the digital only realm. Just show up. Go in the store and ask to be checked out on a standard cash register and not the new hand held scanners. Once you have received a digital receipt there is no way to go back and get a standard receipt that is acceptable to Ibotta. If the manager is so inclined if you know the exact date and time it is possible to get a receipt on a full page paper but it is not Ibotta acceptable and looks nothing like a cash register receipt. From other comments some stores are digital receipts only but most stores still give standard receipts if you follow the above instructions. You could always try the help desk at Ibotta.

Jan if you have digital receipts turned on in your account make sure that is turned off. From the app, click on the account icon with your initials or your picture in the upper right hand corner, Choose “notifications and settings”. Then pick “email”. You will see “digital receipts only” and then make sure it is toggled off. Follow through with the rest of it and you should get a printed receipt. Best wishes for a better experience.

My Ibotta for this says you can’t use a coupon and the Ibotta. Anyone know if that includes a digital coupon?

Mine doesn’t say that. By any chance did you already select this for shopping at Walmart or did you start by selecting Walmart as the store you wanted to shop at? If so I’m not sure how that would work out. I’ve selected items for Walgreens and actually bought them at CVS before when the offer was valid at both stores and it worked fine but not sure about this.
