Great Value Cottage Cheese Recall: Check Your Fridge!
Stay informed about the cottage cheese recall…

Heads up Walmart shoppers! Saputo Cheese USA is voluntarily recalling select Great Value cottage cheese products due to the possibility that some liquid dairy ingredients may not have been fully pasteurized.
The recalled items were sold under the Great Value label at Walmart stores in the following states between February 17th and 20th: Alaska, Alabama, Arkansas, Arizona, California, Colorado, Georgia, Iowa, Idaho, Illinois, Kansas, Kentucky, Louisiana, Missouri, Mississippi, Montana, New Mexico, Nevada, Oregon, Texas, Tennessee, Utah, Washington, and Wyoming.
Check your containers! Three types of small curd cottage cheese have been recalled – 0%, 2%, and 4% milkfat in various sizes. They will have “best if used by” dates of 4/1/2026, 4/2/2026, and 4/3/2026. Click HERE to find more details about the recalled items.

No illnesses have been reported, and the issue was found during routine manufacturer testing. However, unpasteurized products can pose a higher risk to young children, older adults, pregnant individuals, and those who are immunocompromised.
Saputo advises not consuming the products and instead discarding them or returning them to Walmart for a full refund. For more details, call 1-888-587-2423 (Mon–Fri, 8am–5pm CT).
