Fortnite Players May Be Eligible for a Refund (Deadline January 10th!)
Here’s everything to know about the Fortnite refund that has gamers seeking payment for unwanted charges.
Got a Fortnite player in your family? They may be one of the millions of people who were charged for unwanted V-Bucks, Battle Passes, or other in-game purchases.
According to the FTC, Epic Games charged gamers for unwanted items and then locked their accounts when they disputed unexpected charges with their credit card companies.
Thanks to the FTC’s recent $245 million settlement with Epic Games, players who were charged for unwanted purchases can now apply for a refund if any of the following statements is true:
- You were charged in-game currency for items you didn’t want between January 2017 and September 2022.
- A child made charges to your credit card without your knowledge between January 2017 and November 2018.
- Your account was locked between January 2017 and September 2022 after you disputed wrongful charges with your credit card company.
