Quiksilver, Billabong & Volcom Closing ALL Stores – Use Gift Cards by February 16th!
Sad news: Quiksilver, Billabong, and Volcom are closing in the US!
If you love brands like Quiksilver, Billabong, and Volcom, we’ve got some sad news—all 124 U.S. store locations are closing for good. This also includes Spyder, RVCA, Roxy and Honolua.
Liberated Brands, the company operating these stores, has filed for Chapter 11 bankruptcy. As part of the filing, all retail locations will shut down, impacting nearly 1,400 employees.
While the brand names will continue under new licensing partners, the physical stores are closing, and liquidation sales are already underway. This means you’ll still be able to find Quiksilver, Billabong, and Volcom products at department stores and specialty retailers—they just won’t have their own dedicated brand stores anymore.
Use Your Gift Cards by February 16th!
If you have a gift card, don’t wait—use it by February 16 to ensure you get the full value while you can. Once the stores close, there’s no guarantee they’ll be honored. Also, the bankruptcy filing indicates they only have enough cash to operate for about a week, so time is running out to place orders.
The exact closing dates for each location remain unclear, but with liquidation sales happening now, inventory is expected to go fast. The status of nine stores in Hawaii is still under discussion, but for most locations, it’s only a matter of time before they shut their doors for good.
For now, if you’re looking to score deals on surf and skate gear, check your closest store while you still can—and don’t forget to redeem those gift cards before it’s too late!
