Ross has big news for bargain shoppers! The affordable retail company just opened 36 new Ross Dress for Less stores, along with four dd’s DISCOUNTS locations across 17 different states!

The new Ross and dd’s stores opened during September and October, completing the company’s ambitious growth plans for the 2025 fiscal year. Altogether, we’ve seen the addition of 90 new locations throughout the year!

The new Ross locations are mainly in the Midwest and the Northeast, with grand openings in Michigan, New Jersey, and New York (plus a few more in the Sunbelt states). The new dd’s DISCOUNTS stores were added to the list of existing locations in California and Texas.

Ultimately, the company hopes to operate a total of 2,900 Ross Dress for Less stores and 700 dd’s DISCOUNTS stores. Counting both stores together, there are now a total of 2,273 locations in 44 states, the District of Columbia, Guam, and Puerto Rico.

With many households trying to rein in their spending these days, some retail stores have really been struggling. But Ross caters to a more frugal crowd, and this business strategy seems to be paying off during times of economic uncertainty. It’s nice to see a brick-and-mortar store thriving in 2025!
