Trader Joe’s $7.4M Settlement: You Could Be Owed Up to $102
Trader Joe’s recently agreed to a $7.4 million class action settlement, and some customers may be eligible for an estimated payout of up to $102.45.
The case claimed that between March 5, 2019, and July 19, 2019, some Trader Joe’s receipts printed the first six and last four digits of customers’ credit or debit card numbers. Trader Joe’s denies any wrongdoing but agreed to settle.
Customers who shopped during that time using a credit or debit card and received an affected receipt may be eligible to file a claim.
To submit a claim, fill out the form here. The final approval hearing is set for August, and claims must be submitted by June 9th.

I wouldn’t have noticed that! How do we know if we were affected?
Hi Hildie! Good question! It seems the only way to know if you were affected is to have noticed this on your receipt.
How would you know? It was 7 years ago, who remembers their receipt from 7 years ago? I can’t even remember mine from yesterday and to be honest I didn’t know about the credit card digits thing.
@jackie 100% agree!!!
The fact you have to print & mail a claim form makes this claim unnecessarily hard. And when Trader Joe’s doesn’t have a shopper card program like the big chains do, they don’t have contact info, I don’t know how anyone would have received a Claim ID & PIN automatically.
Can we submit a paper claim if we don’t have a claim member identification number?
Hey there, Julie! I do see this option listed if helpful ❤️ – I DO NOT have a Claim ID and PIN, but I would like to download a personalized claim form, print it out, and mail it in.
Thanks Trish. On the form it says you must fill out ALL (they capitalized, not me! lol!) of the information.
