I have been using a regular pair of kitchen shears to chop salads for many, many years because Hubby will eat salad if it is finely cut. They work fine and go right in the dishwasher without the cleaning issues.
I have this and use it to cut up boiled Chicken Breasts when making Chicken Salad. Easy cleaning!
