Here’s Why This Bean Bag Chair is Worth the Splurge (+ Save Over $100 w/ Promo!)
I’ve never thought that a bean bag chair could feel so out of this world! 🌕
Listen up friends – this post is about to dive into one of my latest splurge-worthy finds that has cradled me in the ultimate comfort… the Moon Pod. But even though it’s a higher-end home item, I’m happy to report we’ve been able to score you a stellar deal on it!
First things first, what is a Moon Pod?
Think of an elongated bean bag chair, but one that’s engineered to cradle and support your body in any position you choose. When kicking back on one of these innovative chairs, you’ll experience a sensation similar to flotation therapy, perfect for easing tension and stress after a long day.
What sets it apart are the high friction custom density EPS beads that won’t leave a saggy or squished feeling that can happen with other traditional bean bags.
Whatsmore, it’s not as big, bulky, or heavy as other bean bag chairs. It weighs in at only 12 pounds and takes up just 4 sq ft of floor space, which is great for me because I don’t have the biggest living room! I can bring the Moon Pod with me to any room in my house when I need a change of scenery, whether I want to lounge in my bedroom or even take it outside on the patio.
Oh, did I mention it also has a removable washing-machine-friendly cover… and I don’t even need to let you know why that’s a huge win (*ahem* because life happens) 😆.
Let’s talk about how to sit on the Mood Pod (because yes, there is a proper way to do that)
I know what you’re thinking — “don’t you just…sit?” Sitting on a Moon Pod comes with a customizable experience, and there are 3 main ways to enjoy it (though let’s face it, there’s really no wrong way to enjoy this level of relaxation.)
Want to sit upright?
While holding the Moon Pod behind you, slow sit on down to the floor near the lower half of the bean bag and feel the rest of the chair rise up to provide a soft but supportive backrest.
Looking to lounge?
While standing with the Moon Pod behind you, slowly sit on down into the middle of the pod to end up in a reclined position. I think this is my favorite of all the ways to sit on it!
Don’t I look so relaxed?! 😄
Prefer to lay?
With the pod already on the floor, slowly lay on back to truly relax and you’ll be in comfort on a level even higher than cloud 9.
But again, there’s no wrong way to lay!
Once you’re nestled in, this bean bag chair will conform to your body whichever way you’d like, so switch up the position to suit you when your relaxation needs change. 😍
The Moon Pod brings true meaning to Netflix & Chill!
Really no matter how you settle on into your Moon Pod, the whole goal is to relax and enjoy it! My preferred Moon Pod experience is reclining on back with a glass of rosé and turning on some Netflix for the night. 🍷📺
The Moon Pod is for anyone, too!
I think the only person who enjoys my Moon Pod more than me (outside of the 1300+ reviewers giving it 5 stars ⭐️) is my boyfriend who’s on it almost any time he can be. 😂
For that reason, I believe it makes for a great luxury gift idea for anyone!

Ugh but when you were sitting, your neck is still off the back and you can get serious TV neck strain that way. Itβs cute to lay on though.
That’s why they have a U-shaped pillow, the Crescent, to go with it π
Hah you know what, looking at that picture now, I do look a bit awkward, but honestly I think I have an awkward neck in pictures π I was worried if I leaned too far back in the pic, it would do something funky with my chin, but I swear you can comfortably lean while in the upright seated position for optimal neck support. I do like Kathleen’s idea though of adding on the Crescent from the Moon Pod line. I’ve been eyeing it since I got the pod itself!
Post an update after 6 months of use…i wanna make sure it doesnt go flat
Hi there! I’ll definitely post an update in a few months to let you all know how much I’m loving it — great idea! I’ve had it for a few months already with regular use, and so good so far!
Ty!
I have the regular. It’s longer so it does extend further and supports your neck. My only complaint is that it’s a magnet for cat hair. Aside from that it’s awesome.
Ah, I could see that Suzanne. I don’t have any pets but if I wear something with fuzz on it, I have noticed some lint transfer. Luckily it’s super easy to unzip and wash!
I donβt have the Moon Pod, but I did buy the Lounge & Co Crash Pad. Itβs bigger and weighs more (can be a workout to move it – kids do it easier than me) yet our family of 4 loves it, we even catch our dog lounging on it sometimes. If your kids have a guest over you could even use it for them to sleep on (my son has done it already). This item is being sold through Costco for around $130. Definitely worth it!
How cool! Thanks for the tip on that one! π
I feel like you had fun taking these photos. I am looking for one for my daughter thanks for review
Such a sweet thing to say — thanks, Laura! I think I’d have a hard time *not* having fun with this type of photoshoot π I’m sure your daughter would love the Moon Pod, what a thoughtful gift idea! Glad you liked the review π€
This looks amazing. My kids would never let me sit on it, though. π
Haha! In this case, I’m grateful to live alone so I’m lucky enough to say the Moon Pod is allllll mine (…that is, until friends come over and claim it as their spot! π)
I love this!! My grandkids would love it tooπ€
I would love this Iβd have to fight my boys for it!
Wow we want one of these so cool!
I would love this one for my 10 year old… I think π€ she will love π it
I would live to have this.
…love not live
My son would love this!
My living room is small. That moon pod would be wonderful to have!
Any updates? Iβm considering one of these!
Hi Lindsey! I still have my Moon Pod and it’s still great. π Funny enough, it’s currently at my brother’s house which has a theater-type basement. I brought it over there because watching movies while lounging on it feels so luxurious. I love that it’s not super oversized because transporting it in the trunk of my car was a breeze! This reminded me that I need to get it back, so thank you! π
