Does anyone have experience with how this compares with a Roomba?
I don’t have any experience with the Roomba. I bought this shark on a black friday deal and it has impressed me. It doesn’t move in a chaotic fashion, it goes back and forth in straight lines. We have 2 kids, a large dog, and two cats and it has done a great job of keeping up with our mess. Much better than the cheaper version my mom has.

My roomba is an idiot. It drives in crazy patterns and misses half of my areas. It has to be dumped every 10 minutes to compete with the dog hair. My shark, who we named Tony Shark, has mapped my entire house. It goes back and empties itself every 30 min. When the battery gets to 50 it will go dock itself and recharge. Once full it will go back to wherever it left off and finish the job. As for the part about not getting hair stuck, that’s not 100%. I do have to unwrap some dog hair about every other day. So far Tony Shark is keeping up with my German shepherd and 3 kids. I love him!

We had a Roomba and loved it (broke ‘er because we simply used it soooo much). Then tried a less than superior model and totally did not like it as it kept bumping into things and not auto-correcting itself.
