Freezing toes? These Warmies slippers were made just for you!

If you’re like me and constantly have freezing cold feet, I’m here to tell you those chilly days are over for your toes thanks to these microwavable Warmies Slippers from Kohl’s. Or if you know someone who’s always cold, what an awesome and unique gift this would make.

In a matter of 60-90 seconds (depending on your microwave’s watt output), these slippers will reach the perfect temperature and your feet will be nice and toasty.

These slippers are currently available for only $24.99 at Kohl’s in a few color options.

Do microwavable slippers really work?

This was the first thing I found myself wondering before I popped my fuzzy pair in the microwave for 60 seconds. To be honest, I didn’t have high hopes that they would even get that warm. However, when I slipped my cold feet into them, I was pleasantly surprised by the slipper temperature and my toes were in heaven! No wonder Oprah loves them so much and raved about them in her O magazine.

After walking around in my microwavable slippers for about half an hour or so, they were still warm, which I didn’t expect to last that long. I reheated them a couple more times throughout my day and into the evening and they still got just as hot as they did the first time I heated them up. Warmies might just be my new best friend!

Heated slippers that smell like French lavender? Hello, spa day for my feet!

As soon as I opened my box of microwavable slippers, I was met with a pleasantly overwhelming lavender scent that reminded me of a spa. The scent got even stronger after heating the slippers (in a good way), and it stayed with them even after multiple trips to the microwave.

If you or your significant other have chronically stinky feet, you need these slippers in your life!

You’ll be wearing your ultra-soft Warmies slippers all day long.

The material of these heated slippers is ridiculously plush and feels like your feet are being hugged by a warm fuzzy blanket. It’s quite an experience.

You can also chill your Warmies slippers in the freezer and use them to relieve pain from sprains and bruises (or too much holiday shopping!). These have got to be the most therapeutic slippers around!

A hand feeling soft warmies slippers

While I personally love my Warmies slippers, they may not be the ideal fit for smaller feet.

Warmies slippers are designed to fit shoe sizes 6-10, but if you wear anything smaller than a size 7, your feet might slip out as you walk around in them.

If you want a pair of kick-up-your-feet slippers for bedtime or movie-watching, they’re great for that, but they’re definitely not the kind of slippers that you can wear to take out the trash or run to the store in.

Still not sure about the whole heated slippers thing? Here’s what a few Warmies lovers have to say about their cozy house shoes:

A pair of heated slippers in a microwave

“I was given these as a birthday gift and they are AWESOME!!! They are super soft and comfortable to wear and when it gets cold, I pop them in the microwave for a little bit and they stay toasty for about an hour while smelling like lavender! It’s so relaxing and cozy! I absolutely love them!
“These are awesome slippers for someone like me with perpetually cold feet. They smell great, too – fresh lavender fragrance. And they stay warm for a decent period of time considering you heat them in the microwave.”
“These slippers are so much nicer than I expected! They are super soft and silky with just the right amount of grain. They’re not super heavy with it but there is still enough to heat the slippers well and provide a nice feel. The seller shipped them very quickly. I’m very happy!

I’d definitely love these for my cold feet but the thought of putting the bottom of germ-lined shoes into my microwave where I prepare my food 🤔🤔 unless we’re thinking the radiation kills it all. I just wouldn’t be able to put my food in the same microwave again lol but maybe it’s just me

    • Doreen

I was thinking the same thing. You are not alone

      • alevdean

Same thought here. If you wouldn’t eat off your floor which had germs how do put these in knowing your food is going in there also sounds disgusting to me lol!

    • Jennifer

Agree completely!! I don’t think I could get past the idea of germy slippers in the microwave! I remember seeing in several magazines that people can clean toilet brushes in their dishwasher too 🤢🤢…If a toilet brush was in my dishwasher, I could NEVER use the dishwasher again!!! Ewww…some things just shouldn’t be mixed…lol!!!

    • Erin

Agree! I do believe the radiation should kill anything but nonetheless, the microwave is NOT for footwear, socks, underwear, etc. I have the coldest feet ever and I finally found something that works: Mukluks cabin socks. I just ordered another pair at Kohl’s with my 40 percent off. It’s not instantaneous heat but they work great. Not the most fashionable either, but totally worth it.

    • Me

I’m with you on that one…..we wear our slippers to get the paper or take the dog out. Yuck in the microwave……just because it might kill the germs, it does NOT kill the dirt.

    • M

I agree. Possibly would try AFTER throwing in washer with bleach and drying first.

    • Robyn

When my grandmother passed years ago I asked to inherit her microwave for this reason. I keep it upstairs in my closet so I can microwave back warmers, heating pads and hot towels for my face etc. It is pain to run upstairs to microwave those things though.

    • Aimee

I was thinking the exact same thing and I am not even a germaphobe. But gross!

  2. kimhavelka

I didn’t think of that. I will use a towel to Lind it. I just bought these. My feet are cold right now lying in bed!

  3. Steph

    Ok, never, ever period!!!!!!!!!! Gross!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  4. Emily

Never. Germs on the bottom and inside heated just enough to multiply like crazy. No way!

  5. Katibell

Sold out. I don’t think it’s gross. Do people Microwave their food directly inside? I use a plate.

    • Amber (Hip Sidekick)

Thanks for commenting! It seems the grey pair is gone, but they are still available in the cream. Hope this helps!

  6. CJ

I thought not only of putting slippers in my microwave would be introducing germs to my food prep area (and I don’t believe 90 seconds would ”sterilize” them), but I also thought ”what about my microwave???” I’d have to also make sure there were no spaghetti sauce or grease splatters that would get on my slippers then on my floor. Or fuzzies in my food…it is just too much. There are too many issues wrong with this ”and for that reason, I’m out”! 😁

    • Carrie M.

      Lol! Yes!!

  7. No

No way! Germy slippers and then food. Yuck!

    • Me

Would you get foot smell in the micro? I don’t want to even find out!

  8. Mama2Nine

These sound delightful, but my husband absolutely HATES feet or anything to do with them. He’d loose his mind if I did this!
    No way..

    • Erin

      Same!! My husband would freak!!

  9. Josie

Eeeeew! This is one the craziest (and filthiest) marketing ideas ever!

  10. MommySpendsLess

“but they’re definitely not the kind of slippers that you can wear to take out the trash or run to the store in.”

While I have a pair of hard bottomed “driving” slippers because I don’t like to drive in heels, I’ve never seen a pair of slippers that you can run to the store in.
IMHO there are clothes for lounging at home and clothes for going out in public and there is only a little overlap between them.
The only time I could imagine going to the store in slippers would be the drug store around the corner if I needed medicine and was too sick to get dressed (and even sick I think I could manage to slide my feet into flip flops instead of slippers).

  11. shelly

I always use a pillowcase works great if your on the road too! No yucky food on the slippers:)

    $32. Bummer

    • Dee

The idea of this makes me gag. Even if I were to disinfect the microwave after putting these in there…the thought of it is gross enough. 🤮

  13. Eli

I agree it seems gross to put slippers in the microwave. But besides that if it has a scent to it why would I want to warm food up that has a scent lingering in it.

  14. anonymous

Personally do not care what Oprah likes.

    • DebJ

      LOL!! Me either!!

    • Brindha

      Me either!

    • Brenda

      Glad someone else said it!

    • TiffanyRae

      Yaas! I agree! Oprah who?

  15. Evaa

Gross….Never ever going to do that…..if its free also, never going to buy it 🙁

  16. stevie78

I’m thinking Oprah has a microwave just for the slippers 🤣😂🤣😂 Too bad I’m not Oprah

    • Nessa

I was just thinking the same. Buy the slippers and look for a deal on a microwave specifically for the slippers. Oh Hip2save I’m on to you with the gimmicky deal- buy slippers, buy microwave for slippers 😜

  17. Elizabeth

Why wouldn’t they put this in the dryer instead? I would never put this in my microwave..🤢

  18. Denise

Sounds gross. I don’t want my microwave smelling like dirty feet.

  19. 5pink1blue

    🤮

  20. tawwalker79

Maybe a insert after you wash it😖

  21. lisabestboyer

My first thought was wow, warm feet when needed!!! My second thought was the smell of cooked slippers after I’ve worn them for quite a while walking around my house (that has both dogs and cats). Sigh, they probably didn’t have my size anyway. No one carries size 12 🙄

  22. Kayla

Lol never would I ever put shoes in the microwave… I don’t care if they are new or just washed. Just. Plain. Icky. 🤢

  23. Kimsole

I bought these last year with a lavender scent. I forgot to check inside them and melted a game cartridge in them. They are great for putting your feet up and relaxing but not really for walking.

  24. evelynlo96

These comments are funny but so true!

  25. Charlene

Never! My thoughts exactly. I wonder if the inventor when on Shark Tank🤣

  26. Sandy

I would never put these in my microwave for all of the reasons already stated. I think in the description it said the smell of lavender was a bit overwhelming – it would have to be to overcome stinky feet slippers. We all know how they can get, right?
