Scrub Daddy sponges are a must-have cleaning tool that resists odors and can last for weeks!

I upgraded my stinky kitchen sponge years ago and it’s been so worth it!

Doing the dishes is one of my least favorite chores, but the Scrub Daddy does a much better job at scrubbing off particles from dirty dishes because of the firmer texture and honestly, makes the overall job easier and faster.

Making this small change has done wonders for my kitchen clean-up routine because these little scrubbers mean business!

*Note that Scrub Daddy did NOT sponsor this post! Our team just truly loves this product and we wanted to share it with you as a helpful product review.

This is one cleaning item I can’t live without.

Our whole team is actually obsessed with the Scrub Daddy, not just me! In fact, I wasn’t aware of what a Scrub Daddy even was until I visited Collin’s home a few years ago. Since then I’ve used them for dishes and also in the laundry room for pretreating and scrubbing stains. They may be a little more expensive than your average kitchen sponge, but 100% worth it in my opinion!

If you remember, Scrub Daddy is the scratch-free cleaning tool that debuted on Shark Tank back in 2012, and after using them for years I totally get what all the fuss is about!

These innovative sponges change their cleaning ability based on the temperature of your water. It’s so cool! 😍

If you’re not familiar with these smiley sponges, they have an innovative FlexTexture, which means they change depending on the water temperature! They stay firm in cool water (great when you need to remove stuck-on food) and then soften up in warmer water (great for regular cleaning).

Since the Scrub Daddy launched, they’ve even come out with it’s even more versatile counterpart – the Scrub Mommy!

The Scrub Mommy has the same FlexTexture on one side and a stain and odor-resistant sponge on the other side. The sponge is also 6x more absorbent than the leading sponge brands and produces 60% more soap suds.

There’s also plenty more reasons why they’re so amazing, too!

The Scrub Daddy & Scrub Mommy are durable, scratch-resistant, and odor-resistant!

The FlexTexture may look a bit rough, but both the Scrub Daddy and Mommy are scratch-resistant so you can clean all your fine china and favorite pots and pans without worrying about ruining them!

No more stinky sponges in my house! As I am sure you know sponges can get pretty gross quickly. Scrub Daddy sponges do not take on any smells from the kitchen sink and work great for weeks. They even have a new lemon fresh scent Scrub Daddy sponge that I have been enjoying!

Given all of their amazing characteristics, the Scrub Daddy or Scrub Mommy should last you for several weeks or longer! I literally use mine until it has almost disintegrated into nothing. 😂

I also use the Scrub Daddy in my laundry room to scrub out any stains!

Pair one of these sponges with a bar of Fels-Naptha laundry soap and you’ve got yourself an inexpensive stain removal team that is truly a winner! If I have tough stains like my son’s baseball pants, this method does a great job.

As if Scrub Daddy can’t get any better, check out this helpful comment from Jen on our team!

“Did you know that the mouth on the Scrub Daddy is where you can put in your silverware to clean? You just put it in the mouth and squeeze it down to scrub. Then the eyes are made to put your fingers in so when you clean inside a small surface like glass, you have some grip.”

Here’s what our team is saying about these multi-use sponges:

“I LOVE my Scrub Daddy so much and I will never use a regular sponge again! The Scrub Daddy never smells and slowly disintegrates as you use it so you know when it’s time to buy a new one (it has always lasted several months for me with lots of regular use)! I love that it stays firm in cold water and then gets softer in hot water. I seriously cannot recommend it enough!” – Bryn

“I LOVE my Scrub Daddy so much and will never go back to using a regular sponge again as well. They work so well to get off all that stuck-on food – you know, the food that’s been sitting on a plate that your kids threw in the sink hours before. 🙄

I also love that they don’t seem to absorb all of the food and grime you are cleaning up as a sponge does. They basically disintegrate slowly over time as you use them, so basically when you’re ready for a new one, the old one is gone – literally.” – Collin

“I love that they don’t even absorb smelly odors so you can clean all the nasty, stuck-on food without worry. To top it off, food doesn’t stick to them either which is a huge bonus because if you’ve ever used traditional sponges, you know it doesn’t take long for them to get pretty nasty. Also, did you know there is now a dye-free white Scrub Daddy?! – Sara

I love scrub daddy’s products!!! I especially love the sponge daddy, I use them instead of regular run of the mill sponges, they are nonabrasive, hold the soap so when I put soap on the sponge daddy I don’t wash 2 glasses and have to reapply more soap!!! I love the texture, and have the scrub daddy on the back…it’s actually the best of both worlds!!!! You won’t be disappointed!!!😊

    • Amber (Hip Sidekick)

Oh awesome! Thanks a bunch for your helpful feedback! Great that these can help the dish soap work so much better!

  2. Renee

I love the scrub daddy’s… but over the last year their quality has gone down, mine seem to fall apart fast. I wish they were also more price savvy, stinks when you’re paying $3 plus dollars for a sponge only to use it maybe 2wks 🤔

    • hip2trade

Mine as well. I like them but need to be a little more long lasting. Scrub daddy’s face was ripped to shreds and had to toss. 🙁

    • IndyMom

Thank you for your post! I thought I was crazy noticing pieces of the sponge on my pans/dishes. Yes, sadly, the integrity of the prod has declined.

    • Erin

Hmmm. My Krogers clearanced them out months ago and I bought quite a few. Now I see them back in stock. I wonder if they clearanced the “old” version? I almost didn’t buy them because they didn’t look like they’d last, but I’m still on my first one. I am super impressed–it has lasted longer than my usual green scrubbies. In any case, all of you who are having issues should shoot the company an email to let them know the product isn’t performing properly. I really hate it when companies try to pull stuff like this.

  3. Tracy

Yes!! I have been using scrub daddy for years. It is the best sponge and if the price goes down more than $3 plus a piece, I will definitely be getting it more.

  4. brianneb

Just recently got the Scrub Daisy set as well as, the armortec scrub daddy scouring pad, & the eraser daddy. Can’t wait for them to arrive to try them out!

  5. Angie M.

On Amazon they only have 3 packs of 3 for $32.99, $3.67 each. They don’t have the 3 pack in stock. I have Prime and it still seems kind of pricey.

    • Amber (Hip Sidekick)

Thanks for commenting, Angie M! Hoping the 3 pack is available again soon!

  6. Loudflower

These make my kids WANT to do dishes! We love them.

    • Amber (Hip Sidekick)

SWEET! Now I really need to snag these! 😉

  7. a Kelley tax

Love my Scrub Daddy! Since I found them I have not used any other scrubber. Wish they were a little cheaper though.

  8. Kay

My MIL gave these to me n my cousin one Christmas. My cousin mistakenly used it as a “body loofah.” LOL. She did say she never felt n looked so clean in her life. LOL

    • Amber (Hip Sidekick)

LOL! Thanks for sharing that with us, Kay! Happy to hear it works well as a loofah too!

  9. Tiffany

I picked up Srub Daddy brand new at thrift store for .25 and let me tell you best 25 cent purchase to date! I absolutely love it. After buying it, I had it in my “stash” for a few months until one day I said let me see how this works and I’ve never looked back.. Highly recommend! Will buy more when my 1st goes down the drain.😊

    • Amber (Hip Sidekick)

What a great score, Tiffany! Thanks a ton for your review! Good to know how much you have been loving these!

  10. pjane

Wow I want to try these. Overtime I have learned the best products for my sink are Scotch-Brite non-scratch plastic scrubby pads and brillo basics are usable wipes. They come in a nine count pack. The plastic scrubby pads came in a three pack but may vary I love the plastic scrubbing pads. They really remove the grind on pans. They don’t smell and they last a very long time. they don’t wear down fast. These two items have gotten those past the smelly stinky sponges. Sponges don’t stick around in my sink for very long because of the smell. I do want to try the scrub daddy/mommy.

    • Vicky

If you use Dawn that might be the cause of smelly sponge. I only use Dawn now to get out grease spots in clothing. Always makes the sponges stink. Palmolive for dishes and my sponges don’t stink.

  11. jencor2

do these work on bath tubs as well and if not what do you ladies recommend for those

    • Margaret

I qot a pack of the Scrub Mommy from QVC and have one dedicated to tub and sink cleaning! Works great for me!

  12. Laura

My friend gave me one for Christmas and I’ll NEVER use another sponge again. I have been using the same one for 5 months and while it’s not as thick, it’s still lasting. I give them as gifts to all my friends. Love these!!

    • Jennifer (Hip Sidekick)

I think I need to be your friend, then!

  13. JANE

I love Scrub Daddy in the shower also. It great to put a bar of soap on and use the holes to stand up a couple of razors.

    • Jennifer (Hip Sidekick)

I love this idea, JANE! Thanks for sharing!

  14. Sue

I use the square scrub daddy. The face ones always tore apart

  15. heidi

I bought my 1st scrub daddy a month or so ago. I just sits. I do not really like it. I guess I should try again. I just use my scotch brite sponges and put in dishwasher every night.

  16. Melissa J

These sound great, thanks for the tip. I can’t wait to try one! Where did you get the black sponge holder(I think?) in some of the pictures that loops around your faucet and hangs inside the sink? Looks like a perfect fit for the scrub daddy

    • Anna

I have the same sink caddy- it’s great- you can mold it/ slightly bend it to fit the shape you need

  17. Jennifer

What is that sponge holder you have hanging from the faucet in the pics?? I’m going to try the sponges but also interested in that for sure!! Thanks 😊

  18. CW

  19. shop4mybabies

  20. Edy

Bought the 6 pack at Lowe’s also bed bath and beyond use those coupons on those I love them – I scrub wood floors

  21. Lisa

Not crazy about these, they fall apart and leave little plastic pieces on everything. They don’t last!

  22. NubianGoddess

Interesting, I have never heard of these.

  23. Lorraine pereira

I’m not sure 100% sure of the return coupon amount but I seen a little while ago on scrub daddy Tiktok account they’ll send you a coupon if you mail back your old scrub daddy scrub sponge. Everyone loves a coupon 😁
