Cream Cheese Caramel Apple Spread (Easy Fall Appetizer)
Make this delicious cream cheese caramel apple spread for your next party.
Calling all apple and caramel lovers!
Fall is here, and here at Hip2Save, we’re making sure to fill our kitchens with as many fall recipes as possible! Apples are the most in-season fruit this time of year, so today we’re making a cream cheese caramel spread for you to dip your apples in.
This super easy and delicious fall treat only requires a few ingredients, including a bar of cream cheese, caramel for drizzle (homemade or store-bought), and apple slices or chips.
I figured we’d list some alternatives in case anyone has loved ones with allergies or who aren’t caramel lovers. In the past, I’ve served cream cheese with salsa and corn chips, or jalapeno pineapple jelly with water crackers – all delicious combos if you’re looking for other options! Regardless of what you swap within this recipe, it’s sure to be a hit among your family and friends.
Hip tips when making this cream cheese caramel apple spread recipe:
- Make sure your cream cheese is at room temperature. That way it is the perfect consistency for your spread. You could even whip your cream cheese to make it super soft!
- If you don’t have actual caramel on hand, try mixing brown sugar and vanilla extract in the cream cheese. It’s an alternative that’ll still preserve that fall spread taste you’re looking for.
- Instead of apples, you can use another fruit or snack like pears or pretzels, and if you want to take this appetizer to the next level, chop up some nuts or toffee.

Saw this on Tik Tok hope you will show the creator some love!
Hi there! This is a repost of an older recipe idea from 2017 before TikTok. We will sometimes bump them again if it fits the season, and it’s also attributed in the notes. Thanks
Haha! Just because you saw it there doesn’t mean she did. Wow!
This looked so good, but I am diabetic. We miss out on a lot of things sweet. Then I remembered that I recently bought some Smuckers Caramel Sugar-Free ice cream topping. I was going to use it on something else. I had some cream cheese, SF chocolate chips, and pecans on hand. I ran to the kitchen and whipped this up fast! I took a knife and swirled the caramel through the cream cheese just a little to sweeten it. I then topped with a little more and then added the pecans and the chocolate chips. Oh My Goodness…this is going to be a real treat later today with some apples! Heck…This would be great on toast too! LOL!
Oh that is a great idea! So glad you are able to enjoy!
