Brighten someone’s day with a special message from a puppy pal. 🐶

Do you know someone who could use uplifting? The American Kennel Club wants to help and that’s why they created the AKC Pup Pals program. This program aims to raise your loved one’s spirits by sending them a heartfelt video message from a dog.

Anyone is welcome to receive a Pup Pal – child or adult! The program can be especially helpful for those experiencing grief, illness, sadness, deployment, or any other life struggle. If you know someone in need of cheer, a cute pup in their inbox might just brighten their day!

How do you send a Pup Pals message?

To request a Pup Pal message, fill out the request form. You can nominate any adult to receive a Pup Pal – including yourself!

If you wish to nominate a minor child, please send the form to the parent or legal guardian. Only they are able to request a Pup Pal message for their minor. For privacy and safety reasons, you do not need to provide the child’s address. The AKC sends the Pup Pal message to the eligible adult instead!

Is your dog the best at cheering people up? If you and your dog want to participate in the AKC Pup Pals program, you can! Any dog is eligible to sign up – old, young, purebred AKC puppy, or mixed breed.

It’s easy to enroll! Simply film a video of your dog with a heartfelt message from their point of view. Upload the video, fill out the submission form, and sign the photo release.

For privacy reasons, owners are not notified when or who receives the video, but rest assured that your dog’s message is bringing a little happiness to people in need! 🐕‍🦺💗
