On the fence? Check out what Hip2Save readers have to say…

This box is more “mainstream” than Ipsy in my opinion, with higher end products compared to Ipsy, on par with FabFitFun but more accessible. Both of my daughter’s get Ipsy but are always stealing my Allure beauty box stuff! Other than the lip colors and eyeliners (I mean, how many eyeliners can you really use??), I’ve been really happy.

This is my absolute favorite box. I always get my money’s worth. I highly recommend this box.

Love this beauty box! Haven’t been quite as impressed recently, but still sooo much better than all of the other makeup subscriptions I’ve tried. Sometimes it’s amazing!

This box is the best! You can see what items will be in the upcoming box and pause if you know you won’t enjoy it. We’ve had Birchbox, Ipsy, Sephora Play and Macy’s, and this one has had the least issues (last month I didn’t receive one of the samples) and was super easy to pause for this month. My ONLY complaint is that the lip colors are almost always matte, nude or a weird red so I always have to pass them on.

Note that it can take a bit for your first box to arrive, but it is well worth the wait!

Actually when I was trying to sign up, it said “your first box will be the October beauty box.” Not sure how to see what will be in that.

    • Amber (Hip Sidekick)

Thanks so much for pointing that out! We are seeing that now as well! The post has been updated!

I get this and enjoy it, but I do not see how travel size products equal $135.

    • nita

      That’s what I’m saying too

  3. Carla Bird

I am not seeing a Nars item on this list. What is in the picture?

    • Jennifer (Hip Sidekick)

It’s the NARS Velvet Matte Lip Pencil! I just added it!

Can you unsubscribe at any time?

    • Jennifer (Hip Sidekick)

      Yes, you can!

    • Cami

Yes you can cancel at any time but when I wanted to cancel I actually had to call customer service and could not cancel online.

  5. Laura

I just wanted to post that I have been charged twice for this deal-$10 when I ordered and today $15! I have yet to receive anything. Canceling was easy as I paid with PayPal.

    • Amber (Hip Sidekick)

Oh bummer! SO sorry to hear that, Laura! Thanks for the warning! SO glad you could easily cancel.

    • G

Same thing happened to me. Just emailed them asking for an explanation…

      • Crystal

This has happened to me as well. Two charges and zero boxes. Please update with what their response was.

    • Michelle (Hip Sidekick)

Hi Laura! It takes a bit for that first box to come and if you order late in the month the billing for the new one happens shortly after. But you will get both boxes around the same time and then things smooth out for the remainder of the months.

The same thing happened to me. I was charged the $10 when I signed up on Sept.27th and today I was charged $15.99. I’m not sure if I’m going to get 2 boxes or just the 1 Oct. box. If anyone gets an explanation please post. Thanks

        Thank you Michelle.

Just to update I did receive a email from Allure .

All customers who sign up at the end of the month will receive two boxes back to back and your credit card will be charged accordingly.
So We will be receiving Sept. and Oct. boxes.

  7. Jen

    NO!!!! Do NOT order.
I). Charged $10, then charged $15 within 10 days no box
2). I’m the 3rd person just on here to comment
3). I don’t think Hip2save (such a reputable) die should post until they’ve investigated on behalf of their loyal followers & situation resolved.

    • Amber (Hip Sidekick)

SO sorry to hear this, Jen. Thanks for letting us know. It may take awhile for your first box to arrive if you order late in the month. Then the billing for the new one happens shortly after. You should get both boxes around the same time and then the billing will even out after that. Hope that helps!

    • Mary

The frequent questions policy state that if you subscribe at the end of the month, you will be charged for your initial month and the coming up month.

  8. Dipti

Where can you find out the status of the mailing of your box? I signed into my account and I don’t see that option. I ordered a while back and I haven’t received any shipment notification email yet.

    • Amber (Hip Sidekick)

Hmm, maybe try giving them a call so that they can look into it for you! 1-800-274-1603 Hoping they can help!

  9. Becky

Ebates (or Rakuten or whatever they are now!) gave me $2.50 cashback too, bringing my total to $7.50! I ordered it for the mascara alone!

  10. Becky

I got a pop up when I signed up saying that I would get the mascara and brow product when I referred a friend and they placed an order. So it DOESN’T come with the October box?? Post probably needs updated then. Unless I’m missing something. Thanks!

    • Amber (Hip Sidekick)

Thanks so much for bringing that to our attention, Becky! It looks like that was a limited time offer.

I signed up Sept. 30th for the $10. While I signed up it said I would be getting the Oct beauty box. However, 2 days later I was charged $15 plus tax. When I emailed them asking for a refund they would not grant it and said ”
All customers who sign up at the end of the month will receive two boxes back to back and your credit card will be charged accordingly.” I thought it was shady of them to not have that clearly stated beforehand. I did cancel and they immediately sent an email offering me to get some future boxes for $12 each. I am still cancelling though. It was my fault for assuming that I wouldn’t be charged again until the end of Oct. since I paid at the end of Sept. But I think it is pretty off-putting to be charged twice without having even received a box yet. Also when the products came, I hadn’t realized they were travel size. My fault again for not reading the details. I think $10 was worth it for the 1st box with the bonuses but wouldn’t want it with less items in in for $15- because some items in my box won’t be used. That’s my 2 cents.
