  1. Hammy

My husband decided we needed a waffle maker, so he got on Amazon and ordered one. He was so proud of the great deal he got, only $9.99!! Then it showed up, it’s tiny!! We laughed at his great buy, a lot!! This thing may be tiny but it works pretty dang great. The waffles are Eggo size and fit perfect into the toaster, so it’s been a life saver during the lockdown. I make a big batch and freeze them and the kids just pop in the toaster.

LOL! What a fun story! 😂 Thanks for taking the time to share with us, Hammy!

    • Denise

I love my little waffle maker! Perfect portion size.

  2. Sandy

My new favorite is the Dash electric egg cooker. Perfect hard boiled eggs every time

    • Amber (Hip Sidekick)

Awesome! Thanks for letting us know your favorite, Sandy!

    • Jana

Same! I’ve had this for a few years now and we use it 4 or 5 times a week. I always offer to make deviled eggs for get-togethers since this makes them so easy. We also make omelettes, takes a few tries to perfect the timing but once we did – game changer. We add fresh veggies and cheese before we cook them.

    • Ohsweetlouise

Not sure the brand I have but I love my egg cooker! It even has music that goes off after the 20 mins. My favorite time is when it goes off because then my daughter and I always dance to the Hawaiian music 🙂 fun memory!

  3. Autumn King

I am part of a FB giving group! The Dash Waffle maker is a hot item!!! Everyone loves it! It is definitely a wish list item. I need to get me one so I can join in on the fun and make cinnamon roll waffles

    • Amber (Hip Sidekick)

SWEET! Good to know that one has been a hit!

  4. Kyuu

I bought that knife sharper, and it came branded as “new” when it was repackaged and used. I was trying to figure out why there were no instructions since it was a white box without even the brand, and when I looked on amazon, the packaging showed the proper new packaging. So be careful if you choose that product. In the end, Amazon refunded me and I got to keep it. It works fine, I guess. I guess my knives weren’t that dull to begin with when I first sharpened them.

    • Jennifer (Hip Sidekick)

Thank you so much for the warning, Kyuu! I’m sorry that happened to you.

  5. Gentle

We use the Dash mini waffle maker often! It works amazingly and we make a large batch to freeze or keep in the fridge. Pop them in the toaster oven and they crisp right up perfectly.

    • Jennifer (Hip Sidekick)

      Thanks for the idea, Gentle!

For those that make big batches of waffles with the dash, how long does it take you? It’s like 4-5 min per waffle I thought? Or do you have multiple waffle makers going at the same time? I like to do big batch freezer items (I make English muffin breakfast sammiches, and this weekend I’m making paninis to freeze, I’d love to include waffles into my rotation), but I don’t like spending half my morning making something that will get finished quickly…I aim to batch for at least a month, if not two. For me that would be approximately 40-50 waffles. At 4 min per waffle that would be well over 3 hours 🙁 any tips? (For comparison, I make 72 breakfast sammiches in 1.5 hours and that lasts about 3 months)

    • Lana

Get the Black and Decker waffle maker that makes 4 waffles at a time. One square fits perfectly in the toaster. I have two of those and have been using them for twenty years problem free and they make wonderful waffles.

    • Becky

what kind of breakfast sammiches do you make? I’ve always said I’d like to try this, but never taken the plunge!

    • Kath

I read somewhere (in a review I think) that 3 mins is the best time for that reviewer. He was also using it to make big batches to freeze. Hope the helps!

  7. Linda T

Love this product. We’ve been using the DASH waffle maker a few years now. Our first one stopped working after more than an year and we replaced it (we love it that much and we think it’s good value given the price you are paying). We don’t make big batches as we are a small family. I don’t believe that this would be the right product for big batches of 50 waffles. You’d get tired and fed up. BTW… makes for a great teacher gift!

  8. Tammy

I just bought one so our daughter can make her cinnamon roll waffles when we go camping. Never knew it was a thing! She is excited to try it out!

    • Amber (Hip Sidekick)

      Hope she loves it, Tammy!

  9. Gloria

I saw that the Zulay milk frother was on this post…which I love, love, love!
I love anything Zulay, because they have amazing customer service and make quality products.
I also have a citrus press made by them.

  10. Jeanine

I just bought the Takeya cold brew coffee maker, and I LOVE IT! I had been using a Bodum cold brewer for quite a while, and while it was OK, it wasn’t great. Harder to clean out the grounds, etc. The Takeya is GREAT! I was leery of it leaking at first (you have to lay it on its side while it’s brewing) but so far, it’s been perfect! Only minor thing is I got the 2-quart one, and it’s juuuuuuuuust a smidge too tall to go into my fridge upright easily, but I can manage to wedge it in, so whatev.

    • Jennifer (Hip Sidekick)

I’m so glad you like the Takeya brand!

I want to try the little mini Keurig. Perfect for me (single lady) and since I’m working from home more I can’t use the Keurig at work! Thanks!

    • Becca

My daughter got the mini one to take to her dorm this fall. She tried it a few times (she likes got chocolate) and it works great and doesn’t take up much space.

  12. ohjodi

I want the stacking mugs in the first picture!

  13. NikiD

I have #10 keurig mini coffee maker and I can not figure out how to get it to work with the reusable k pod. The maker looks nice but I regret not getting a cheapo coffee maker since I wouldn’t want to create so much waste with the kcups.

  14. Dana

My husband likes to use the dash pancake maker to make perfect sunny side up eggs!
