This may be the perfect feed for me to ask… I work mostly 8 hour days and I am thinking of getting a cat. She is 2 years old. Do you think she will be okay alone? A lot of people I know have 2+ cats but I can’t manage 2…:)

She would get use to it after awhile. Just make sure she gets lots of love when you are home and she would be fine.

We have always had cats. Our first cat did fine without a sibling and he was fine being left alone for a few hours. The cat will want attention when you get home❤️ best of luck with your new kitty they are a joy to come home to

    • Denise

Yes she should be fine. We have owned several cats over the years. We have always allowed them to self feed with dry cat food and a water bowl. When I got home from work I would give the cat a little wet food as a treat. Cats are awesome congratulations on your new kitty ❤️

      • DebJ

Our vet said cats should get more wet food than dry because a mostly dry diet dehydrates them and can cause all types of health problems such as kidney disease/failure. I’ve read the same about dogs.

Is she used to being alone or is she bonded with another cat?

I saw a video of some homemade ones. I made one of them using a small wooden ladder. It turned out good. My cat loves it. You wrapped the ladder in rope and then used material to make a hammock in the bottom area of the ladder and added a small cat bed to the top.
