Let’s go to Costco for lunch!
The Costco food court may not be the most glamorous of restaurants, but when it comes to convenience and affordability, we LOVE it! So, if you’re in need of a cheap lunch or dinner idea, a quick snack to hold the kids over while shopping, OR a cheap fro-yo option for date night, Costco’s food court is a great place to go!
We’re sharing eight of the best food items from the Costco’s food court menu – all under $5 each!
*Note that pricing and availability may vary by region.
1. All Beef 1/4-lb Hot Dog and 20oz Soda
Not only is this the most popular option on the menu, but it’s also been on Costco’s food court menu for the same $1.50 price since 1984! Considering you can barely get a soda at a restaurant for under $2 these days, getting a giant hot dog and a large soda for under $2 is pretty hard to beat!
2. Giant slice of pizza
Everything’s bigger at Costco, including their slice of pizza! Costco’s popular pizza was first introduced in 1989 and hasn’t changed in price for over 30 years. For just $1.99 per slice, you can order a huge slice of cheese, pepperoni, or combo pizza that barely fits on a plate. Each pizza is made with chewy artisan dough, a thick slathering of U.S. grown tomatoes, aged, buttery cheeses, and 10-month aged, shredded Parmesan cheese.
3. Chicken bake
The Chicken Bakes are a staple food item on Costco’s food court menu. However, it’s important to note that the Chicken Bakes aren’t the same as the ones you’ll find in the freezer section. The food court Chicken Bakes are made from fresh ingredients, including chicken breast, cheese, bacon, and Caesar dressing wrapped up in leftover pizza dough.
4. Hot Turkey & Provolone Sandwich
While the Hot Turkey & Provolone Sandwich hasn’t been on the menu as long as the pizza or hot dog combo, it’s definitely a shopper favorite. It’s made with oven-browned turkey, provolone, red onions, tomatoes, basil garlic mayonnaise, and a toasted torta roll.
5. Chicken Caesar Salad or Al Pastor Salad
- $3.99 (Caesar) or $4.99 (Al Pastor)
If you’re looking for a healthier option, the Chicken Caesar Salad is a great option and only $3.99 each. The large salad includes a heaping of Romaine lettuce, grilled chicken, Parmesan cheese, tomatoes, croutons, and Caesar dressing. The calories for this salad range from 370-650 depending on toppings/dressing.
Plus, Costco even has a vegan option! The Al Pastor Salad includes plant-based protein, chopped Romaine lettuce, black beans, fresh vegetables, Banh Mi vegetables, and dressing – all for just $4.99. The calories for this salad range from 330-750 depending on toppings/dressing.
6. Twisted Cinnamon & Sugar Churro
For just $1, you can enjoy a massive, 18″ soft and dough Cinnamon & Sugar Churro. Oh-my-YUM!
7. Acai Bowl
Introduced in 2018, the Acai Bowl is a healthier option as it’s loaded with pureed Acai and topped with fresh strawberries, blueberries, bananas, and Kirkland Signature granola. Plus, it has 9 grams of fiber and no artificial colors or flavors. However, the price is a little steep at $4.99/bowl.
8. Nonfat Vanilla Yogurt
- $1.35 – $2.99
Why go to TCBY and pay too much when you can go to Costco and pay under $2 for a LARGE 12oz cup of nonfat vanilla yogurt – or just 30¢ more for a heaping of strawberry toppings? Costco’s vanilla yogurt is delicious, the portions are generous, and you can’t beat the price.
- Nonfat vanilla yogurt 12oz – $1.35
- Nonfat vanilla yogurt with strawberries – $1.65
- Nonfat vanilla yogurt & Acai swirl – $2.99
