What is “Clear the List”? It’s a nationwide movement to support teachers by purchasing items for their school supply lists.

School will be back in session soon (some districts start in just a couple of weeks!), and teachers are already working hard to prepare their classrooms for the new 2025-2026 school year. This includes stocking up on school supplies for their students!

Did you know that many teachers pay for the majority of classroom supplies out of their own pockets? Yes, it’s true! Classroom supplies are not cheap, and many school districts and families are struggling. This leaves many teachers to pay for school supplies out of their own pockets.

Teachers always go the extra mile for their students, so let’s show them how much we appreciate them by giving back and helping to fulfill their supply lists!

You can help by donating items from teachers’ Amazon shopping lists!

Teachers and educational professionals can head over to Amazon, create a classroom wish list, and then share their lists publicly. Anyone can ‘donate’ items that are on the list, and after donating, donors can even leave a note or message letting the teacher know how much they are appreciated. So awesome!

Even better, if you post your list on social media and tag Amazon with #clearthelist, you may find that your list is cleared BY Amazon! So cool!

Teachers, follow these steps to make your classroom wish list on Amazon:

  • Head over to Amazon and hover over Account & List at the top. Select ‘Create a List’ from the drop-down menu and name your list.
  • Hover over the three dots More menu on the right, and click Manage List to update your shipping address (this is important!) and other preferences like whether you want the list to be private or public. You can also designate whether your list is for an organization, and if so, you’ll have the option to provide the website address of the organization.
  • Click ‘Save’ and then you can start adding items to your list!
  • To add items to your wish list, simply browse for products on Amazon and then click ‘Add to List’ under the Buy box on the right-hand side of any item’s product detail page.
  • Only list owners can make changes through Manage List. Both list owners and collaborators will be able to add and remove items.

If you’re a teacher, be sure to share your teacher list in the comments below so that readers can help clear the list! 🙌

Hi 👋🏻 I’m a dyslexia Interventionist in Dallas ISD (TX). Items donated through this list are for the benefit of servicing students with a learning disability (dyslexia) in grades K-5th in a low income neighborhood school. Items on the list will be used to aid instruction, make the room a bit more comfier, inviting and sensitive to students with special needs. Creating a welcoming and attractive learning environment goes a long way in getting our students hyped and ready to learn! Thank you for your generosity 🙏🏻

I teach high school marine science and environmental science. I incorporate aquarium building into my curriculum. I take my students to our local estuary where we collect specimen to bring back for observation. Students maintain their tanks for about a month at the end of the course. At the end of the month we return the specimen. I’ve been slowly updating the equipment that I inherited when I moved to this position 2 years ago.

    Hi,

I’m a 5th grade teacher at a title one low income school in north Texas. My students come from diverse backgrounds with limited experiences and resources. I will have about 70 awesome kids. I’m returning to the classroom this upcoming school year after being a Math Interventionist the past 9 years. I need some classroom rewards for my students. I’m also in need of some basic things to keep my 3 sections coordinated and organized. Please take a look at my Amazon wishlist and consider donating to my classroom. If you are not able to donate, please consider sharing my list. I would really appreciate any support!
