What is “Clear the List”? It’s a nationwide movement to support teachers by purchasing items for their school supply lists.

School will be back in session soon (some districts start in just a couple of weeks!) and teachers are already working hard to prepare their classrooms for the new 2024-2025 school year. This includes stocking up on school supplies for their students!

Did you know that many teachers pay for a majority of classroom supplies out of their own pockets? Yes, it’s true! Classroom supplies are not cheap and many school districts and families are struggling. This leaves many teachers to pay for school supplies themselves.

Teachers always go the extra mile for their students, so let’s show them how much we appreciate them by giving back and helping to fulfill their supply lists!

You can help by donating items from teachers’ Amazon shopping lists!

Teachers and educational professionals can head over to Amazon, create a classroom wish list, and then share their lists publicly. Anyone can ‘donate’ items that are on the list, and after donating, donors can even leave a note or message letting the teacher know how much they are appreciated. So awesome!

Even better, if you post your list on social media and tag Amazon with #clearthelist, you may find that your list is cleared BY Amazon! So cool!

Teachers, follow these steps to make your classroom wish list on Amazon:

  • Head over to Amazon and hover over Account & List at the top. Select ‘Create a List’ from the drop-down menu and name your list.
  • Hover over the three dots More menu on the right, and click Manage List to update your shipping address (this is important!) and other preferences like whether you want the list to be private or public. You can also designate whether your list is for an organization and if so, you’ll have the option to provide the website address of the organization.
  • Click ‘Save’ and then you can start adding items to your list!
  • To add items to your wish list, simply browse for products on Amazon and then click ‘Add to List’ under the Buy box on the right-hand side of any item’s product detail page.
  • Only list owners can make changes through Manage List. Both list owners and collaborators will be able to add and remove items.

If you’re a teacher, be sure to share your teacher list in the comments below so that readers can help clear the list! 🙌

It’s been a few years since I’ve put out a wishlist for classroom donations, so here we go again! Any donations would be appreciated, especially if you find a good deal on classroom supplies.
Feel free to share my post as well, anything helps!
I’m also open to any suggestions or donations for my classroom library. Anything teenagers will want to read is fine. My experience has been that graphic novels have been popular, but I’m interested in having a more diverse selection than just the sci-fi and fantasy novels I generally have on my shelf.

Hello everyone. I’m a media arts/technology teacher in a Title 1 high school. I’ve been slowly outfitting my classroom with the tools and equipment needed to properly teach courses in Video Production and Computer Graphics. Now the focus is being able to safely organize the equipment, provide community supplies for any of the students to use, and being able to provide rewards for exceptionally good work. https://www.amazon.com/hz/wishlist/ls/1UVGZTRAUYNZN?ref_=wl_share

My list includes some basic supplies I would like for my classroom, as well as materials for morning bins. I would really like to start morning bins this school year as a way to ease my students into their day. After they eat breakfast and before my start our academic day, these bins would be a great way for students to collaborate and be creative! Any help is SO greatly appreciated. Thank you!

As an educator who teaches children with special needs, it is hard for them to get organized to learn, and this year we will be working on vocational skills. My Amazon wishlist will help them to achieve these new goals. With your loving support, we can make this happen for them.
