Check out why Hip2Save team member Mary love these meal boxes:

I have been using EveryPlate for months and I really love it! I have tried many meal box plans, but I feel that EveryPlate offers the best value. Plus, I love that almost all of their meals are quick (30-45 minutes start to finish), easy to follow, and are recipes that I would not usually think of myself.

I get 3 EveryPlate meals each week for my family of 5 and rotate them throughout the week with other home-cooked meals, so I don’t have as much meal prep to do. I like knowing that when I’ve had a busy weekend and not had time to go to the store, that I can count on a home-cooked meal from EveryPlate!

Here’s how it works:

Choose your plan for either two or four people. Each plan includes three meals per week. Meals are updated on a weekly basis and EveryPlate works with a team of chefs to add up to eight new meal choices per week.

All of the ingredients are prepared, chilled, and packed right before every shipment to ensure you get the freshest meals possible. Even better, there’s no need to be home for delivery – each box includes insulated liners and ice packs to keep your meals cool and fresh so you don’t need to worry about being home when it arrives.

On the fence? Check out why Hip2Save readers are loving EveryPlate

We signed up for Every Plate last time you posted and so far we love it! The recipes are pretty simple and my favorite part is they don’t create a ton of dishes. Best part is in on one of my boxes they gave me three free box cards to share with friends! – Sara

We have loved this meal service! We have picky eaters and even one with severe food allergies and I have still been able to make the meals work for us. It’s been a blessing to not have to meal plan, ship etc. and just have to cook! – Kara

“This is the only brand where we loved all three meals – so I ordered for next week to keep them coming!” – Lina, Hip2Save Sidekick and Recipe Blogger

The ingredients aren’t prepared. You have to chop them yourself. That is why it is the cheapest.

Most delivery services are not prepared.. I’ve tried all of them. EveryPlate is owned by the same company as HelloFresh and it is still somewhat new. Which is why it is cheaper. It will probably go up in price once it gets as popular as HF. HF at one point used to be the cheapest.

      • Sara

I’ve seen ads for several that show the ingredients already chopped.

        • Sara

          *arriving already chopped

          • Daniela

Hello Fresh is not chopped. Neither is Plated. Maybe the commercial or ad shows chopped up fruit, bread, veggies, but everything arrives whole. Even the chicken breast. If you cut a veggie early, it could go bad. They ship that stuff whole. This place might be cheaper because of name recognition or less meal options, not because we put more work in.

The menus aren’t as good as blue apron or other services, THAT is why they are cheaper. Very few prep the veggies 100%.

    • Amber (Hip Sidekick)

Thanks so much for the honest feedback, Emily. We sure appreciate it!

  3. Jennifer

We should be able to see the meals before entering all our payment info. 👎🏼

    • Charmel

I was able to view several weeks of menus before giving any information.

  4. Brian

Doesn’t that equal $4.33 a meal! Or am I matching wrong.

    • Brian

That was supposed to be a ? Not a !

    • Cassandra (Hip Sidekick)

Hi Brian! You are correct. If you factor in the shipping costs on the last two boxes, it does work out to around $4.33 per meal. However, the meals themselves are only $3.33/person. Hope that helps!

This is a great service to prep for my husband’s lunches at work. I cook everything once it arrives and then freeze for the rest of the week. At less then 5.00 per meal, I save a TON of money versus having him eat out during his shifts (he’s in a ambulance all day). We’ve been doing this for about 2 months now, and he really enjoys the variety and says they reheat really well. I mostly pick “manly” meals that I know he will eat. 🙂

Over the summer they had 3 months of free shipping for a flat fee $29, so each week was only $29.99, well when it ended I thought the option would come up again but it didn’t. CS said they were just testing that feature 😫 which really irritated me. They have an upcharge for most steak and shrimp meals $6 for 2, Dinnerly actually started including shrimp no up charge so I’m thinking of switching back for a while.

Were on our 2 week. We loved the first 3 meals!

  8. Deborah Battle

I love these meal kit ideas…,however…if you look at the calories/fat & saturated fat/carbs you may not want to jump on it even though it is a deal. I don’t know, I just feel like these meals are more like meals you would pick when you eat out, so it is like eating out 3 times a week PLUS the other nights you eat out. Anyone know of a more healthier option for meal kits?
