I’d recommend checking for museums in your area before registering. Only two are participating near me (in a suburb between two fairly large cities – there are tons of museums within a two hour drive) and one of the two is free every day anyway.

I take that back – search by state, not zip code. 🙂

      Thanks for the tip!

I didn’t read your comment and you are right. I’m new to Nashville and thought they’re would be a couple downtown where I live that would be included. Nope. I’d have to drive to them both and we are trying not to use the car unless we have to. Sounds silly, but we walk to most things or take our bicycles. #cityliving

Went to the USS Slater with my husband. Very cool historic war ship.

Here in Illinois almost all of the museums have free days for Illinois residents. You just have to check their schedule to find the free ones. Also, if you or anyone in your party has a SNAP card (food stamps) they usually get free admission for themselves and up to three other people in their party. Almost every major museum will give free or discounted admission with the card.

Thanks Hip2Save. I was able to take my family (6 people) to a museum that it’s usually $18 a person. We had a great time!

    • Jennifer (Hip Sidekick)

I’m so glad you were able to spend time with your family!

      Wahoo! That’s cool, Norma!

how do I get the free tickets? I don’t see any where where I can click to get the actual free tickets where it shows 2 free tickets for the museum.

    • Jennifer (Hip Sidekick)

Just present your active Bank of America, Merrill Lynch or U.S. Trust credit or debit card along with your photo ID at any participating institution.
