Apple has extended their FREE Apple TV promo yet again! 🎉

If you previously signed up for a FREE year of Apple TV, get excited because this offer has been extended until this July regardless of when you signed up!

That means that anyone who signed up for this freebie back when the iPhone 11 was launched will end up with 21 months of Apple TV at no additional cost (a $104.79 value)!

If you didn’t snag this free year previously, it’s still available!

Apple TV on multiple devices including phone, tablet, laptop and TV

Did you buy a new iPhone or Apple Device for Christmas?

If you purchased a new iPhone, iPad, iPod touch, Mac, or Apple TV since September 10, 2019, you may still be eligible for a FREE year of Apple TV+ (regularly $4.99/month)! This deal should automatically appear on any eligible device that’s running the latest operating system.

Note that this offer must be claimed in the Apple TV app within 3 months after first setting up your new device, so if you got a new device for Christmas, you’ll want to take advantage of this offer soon.

If you don’t have a new Apple device and you’re not eligible for the free year-long trial, you can still try Apple TV+ free for 7 days. Check out the full terms and conditions here!

New Apple TV+

Here’s how to get your free year of Apple TV+:

  • Open the TV app on your iPhone, iPad, iPod touch, Mac, or Apple TV.
  • Tap on a new Apple original show like The Morning Show, Truth Be Told, or SEE.
  • Choose “Enjoy 1 Year Free” or the 7-day free trial (for those who haven’t purchased a new device).
  • Tap “Continue,” then confirm your free year of Apple TV+.

You can also complete this process on a Mac or PC. Simply visit tv.apple.com, sign in, and activate your free trial. If you have a discounted Apple Music student plan, you won’t see a button for the free trial. Apple TV+ will automatically be unlocked for you!

By confirming your trial of Apple TV+, you commit to a $4.99/month subscription that starts immediately after the free year-long trial and automatically renews until canceled. You can cancel at any time in your Settings.

If you believe you qualify for the free year of Apple TV+ and it isn’t appearing on your device, here’s the solution that worked for us:

Open a desktop web browser, go to https://tv.apple.com, and log in using your Apple ID. You should be able to accept the 1-year free trial offer there. Then, sign out of the TV app on your iPhone, close the app, launch the app again, and sign in. Your year-long free ‌Apple TV‌+ trial should now be active!

We have a free year but anyone else unimpressed with it?

    • Tonya

Yes. Not a lot of things to watch. It’s hard to find free movies to watch. Disappointed

      • PurpleLady

Agree! Very disappointing compared to other streaming services.

    • Amy

Yeah, there’s very little available on it. Honestly can’t imagine anyone paying for it at this point. Maybe in the future once they’ve built a larger library. For nearly the same price you can get Hulu with a ton of titles and options. 🤷‍♀️

    • Melanie

I agree with previous comments. I watched The Morning Show and that’s about it. Nothing else looks appealing.

    • Michelle W

Yep…very disappointed so very glad it was free. Only thing good was the Tom Hanks movie “Grayhound”

    • Amber

      Not impressed either. Cancelled immediately.

  2. DTS

The Bruce Springsteen documentary was pretty great, IMO

  3. Jackie

The servant is a good one also. Glad they started season 2.

  4. Elizabeth

Mine was updated to 7/18/21, thank you! Can’t wait for the Morning Show ❤️

  5. Mel

Just watched Tiny World. Great documentary about tiny creatures. Narrated by Paul Rudd. Highly recommend!

  6. Kel

Their née show “Ted Lasso” is great. Worth the subscription.

      New, not née, haha
