Before You Book Your Car Rental or Hotel, Check Kayak!
Grab all the BEST travel deals on flights, hotels, car rentals and more with Kayak!
Many of us head to Kayak to score cheap flights, but did you know that you can save BIG on car rentals and hotels too? Like REALLY big! 😲
Kayak offers deals and comparisons of all kinds of vehicles whether you’re looking for a smaller vehicle, SUV, van, truck, or even a convertible from trusted rental companies like Enterprise and Hertz!
They will let you know the average daily price per month, current car rental prices as your pick-up day nears and will offer information to save you even more money like on-site airport rental companies or the most popular rental agency in the state you are traveling to.
Simply head here and select your pickup location and the dates you will need the vehicle. Then you can choose the type of car you would prefer, and can even filter your results for more options like if you want a hybrid model or the passenger capacity you need.
A $15 per day car rental?! 😱
As an example, you can pick up a Chevrolet Spark in Miami, FL for January 21st – January 25th for just $63 total – that’s just $15.75 per day! Or if you need a vehicle to fit five people, you can pick up a Ford Fusion for just $87 total – only $21.75 per night!
If you are looking to book a stay at a hotel, Kayak has its own search engine to compare prices of hotels, motels, bed-and-breakfasts, and more. They will send you details like average nightly prices, expected seasonal price increases and decreases, and more.
Simply head here and put in the location and dates of your intended stay. You can also filter your results to include pools, pet-friendly places, free breakfast, free parking, and more.
Stay in nice hotels for UNDER $50 per night!
For instance, you can book a stay in New York for just $65 per night, Orlando for $48 per night or San Diego for $43 per night!
If you’re looking for flight deals, Kayak has those, too!
Kayak has even more to offer…
There are so many useful travel tools on the Kayak site, one of which is the Travel Restrictions Map. If you aren’t sure what the current restrictions are for your travel destination, this map will be super helpful.
Do yourself a favor and also take a peek at Kayak’s “Return to Travel” Hacker Guide for tips on getting back to traveling and you can even take a quiz to help you decide where you should go!
Happy travels!👋

Why is this post an ad for Kayak? What about the other websites like Orbitz or Hotwire? And often booking directly through the hotel’s or car rental’s own website will give you a better deal than these third parties. I clicked because I saw the Minnie ears. I feel that was clickbait. Perhaps the post should be titled “Try Kayak for your next car rental or hotel” And the picture should be Kayak’s ad.
I’ve been using this site for years. This is the first post I’ve been annoyed with.
Thank you, Amy C.! We sure appreciate the feedback. 🤗
They’re trying to help you save money in ANY way possible! Move on if you don’t like what they posted instead of being so negative! smh
agree!
Agree with Amy C., that is
We did update the title. 😁
That’s exactly what I feel Amy. I wasted my time reading all this clipbait!
What’s wrong with h2s?
Yeah, definitely clickbait. I understand this is a way to bring in revenue, but no need for clickbait. The title should have been
“Have you tried Kayak?” With a picture from their website.
We have updated the title. 🙌
I had multiple issues when booking with kayak. If you have any issues arise, it is a HUGE pain to get it fixed.
Thanks, Hip2Save, for posting this. I forget about Kayak when I’m looking at travel costs. Didn’t seem like clickbait to me, but clearly people see things differently. I appreciate all you guys do!
You are welcome, Judi!
Another reason it might be better to book directly rather than a third party is that sometimes your loyalty status/benefits won’t apply. For example I booked a Hilton hotel through a third party and my gold status didn’t apply. I lost out on the daily $30 food/beverage credit.
I agree, Amy C. I’ve been a H2S follower since the very beginning and I have to say most of the posts have become more focused on advertising and bringing in revenue than anything else. I said what I said.
I’m sorry you feel that way.😟 Our intention is never to mislead. We have updated the title.🤗
Really, I mean really? People find a reason to complain about anything. There are other options if you don’t like it. Keep it yourself.
People, people, people. I am super busy and was able to skim it in 2 minutes, good grief you didn’t give up an hour of your day, in fact, you spent more time complaining than you did reading the posting. Hip2Save you always rock and when I don’t see a posting I don’t need I just move on. It’s really that easy people.
It’s also just as easy to move on when you read an opinion that you don’t agree with. 🙂
