We are planning to buy all new kitchen appliances on Black Friday..anyone have any advice?

    • dealsgal23

We just bought all of ours through Best Buy. My best tip is that all the deals are live now at Lowe’s, Home Depot, Costco, and Best Buy so you can beat the rush and go now! Best Buy does in home consultations and can run you through what will work in your space and how much it is. I did that and got a quote from them, then went to the other stores to get comparable bids and made my final decision. I did end up going with Best Buy as they had the best price for what I wanted and good deals on install. They also had the most helpful sales person who was responsive and that was important to me as we coordinate installation. We originally wanted to do a full GE suite that was on sale everywhere but found we needed to tweak the package a bit (none of the packages on sale I could find has a counter depth fridge which was a must our space). You may find what you want is less expensive elsewhere but first you have to know what you want and that’s where I found the in home consultation so helpful. One more thing I would recommend is signing up for one month of consumer reports membership so you can look at scores on all the appliances in a package. Don’t worry if you find a suite you like but need to swap out a piece or two—you’ll still get a great deal!

consumer reports might be free online, check the local library.

    • brittanyparkhurstroberts

I’m with you. I have all my appliances in my cart right now. I plan to buy GCs on raise.com

    • Wendy K

We just bought new Kitchenaid kitchen appliances and I compared prices from Costco, Home Depot, Best Buy, and Lowes. We purchased them from Best Buy- all but Costco were willing to price match. Factor in Best Buy Rewards and they have a gift card offer right now when you bundle appliances- Best Buy was the best value for us. Delivery and installation went smoothly. I would purchase appliances from them again.

My husband is in appliance repair business. I have heard him tell others many times to stay away from LG or Samsung. He has had SO many complaints from those who own these and most say they will never buy again. I am sure there are some who are pleased with these brands but he hears a lot more negative than positive comments. Also, stay away from the top of the line (all the bells and whistles!) and shop mid range. That is normally your best value and possibly can give you better service. One last thing…don’t expect them to last as long as they once did. The quality just isn’t there!!! Hope this helps in some way.

      • Sara

        Great feedback!

        • Ashley

Yes please stay away from Samsung. No one can trouble shoot them. The simpler the better when it comes to appliances!

      • Mik

I’m with you on stay away from Samsung appliances. Our Samsung fridge originally cost nearly 2k and is giving us problem that ice maker is not functioning at all. We unplugged the fridge completely let it defrost the built up ice in the ice maker, and thought did the trick, nope. It did it again after just 3 weeks! And the fridge is not even 5 years old. We bought extended warranty when we bought it, but of course, right after the warranty expired this issue started. Go figure!!

        • Patty d

Exact Same problem with the ice maker on our Samsung fridge

      • Patty d

        Oh yes so correct!!
We have a samsung fridge and it is such a piece of junk

    • Patty d

We went to Lowe’s today planning to buy all new appliances with the current sale they are having.
Just as an FYI the low prices quoted are stainless only!!
We want white appliances and the prices, especially on refrigerators is ridiculous

      • Liz

        Hi,
We found an appliance store that offers online orders- with no sales tax and free delivery, which really adds up. (My husband is able to install, which might be an issue in some situations.) Abt appliance in Illinois. They price match as well. Some product lines are specific to contracts in your region, so not every appliance is available this way.

  2. Marie

    BELLA Non-Stick Electric Griddle
    Only $19.99 (regularly $29.99)

    It’s only 17.99 right now!

    • Amber (Hip Sidekick)

Thanks, Marie! I’m seeing that now as well!

  3. Lee

I generally buy a lot of poinsettias on Black Friday. This year I need more white than red. Anyone knows if Lowes has white poinsettias, since this is cheaper than the Home Depot prices.

    • Linda

At my local Lowe’s the poinsettias were awful last year. They were small and half dead. Home depot is across the street and it was well worth paying 99 cents for theirs.

    • jennifer

I think my Lowe’s had a few white ones last year but more pink and red. This is my favorite decorating tradition too. I buy tons and put them everywhere. I grab a handful for girlfriends too!

    • JenniferS

Lee, I’ve never seen white poinsettias in the qt. size at Lowe’s Black Friday. But I’ve never been at a Lowe’s first thing on Black Friday either. I would say call your local stores to ask what colors they expect.

    • Amanda

I live in Hawaii and the high end resorts buy all the pointsettas. I think it says limit 15 so I’ll see if they have any left this year.

  4. Deb

just got one of the griddle…for pickup…$17.99….Nice..!!!! Thanks 😘🦃

    • Amber (Hip Sidekick)

      Woohoo! You’re welcome, Deb!

  5. Raquel

Thank you! I scored one of those accent tables in new condition at Goodwill for $10 and could really use another. Just said to my husband yesterday $70-$80 I wasn’t doing. $40 I’ll do considering I got the other one for $10.

    • Collin (Mrs. Hip)

What a great score, Raquel! You’re SO very welcome! Happy you could grab a new one on the cheap!

  6. DD

The link for the craftsman drill goes to a dewalt item. Is that a mistake?

    • Amber (Hip Sidekick)

Thanks so much for catching that! The link has been updated!

  7. kassandra

The dyson slim ball comes up 299 when i click the link not 199. Fyi

  8. kassandra

Mis read thought it said pre black friday deals

  9. sue

Are all of these prices good now or just on Friday? I really need batteries.

    • Amber (Hip Sidekick)

Hi Sue! Select deals are available now.

  10. berrylandnow

Are they giving out cards or is it text like last year?

    • Nate

      I’d like to know too!

  11. TWood

Any deals on a yeti cup? My mom just informed me that’s the gift she’d like. I only saw a cooler on the list of deals

    • jennifer

What’s the big deal with Yeti cups?

      • TWood

Lol. Idk. I just now they keep ice from melting. It’s not my thing. But, it’s only thing she requested. Lol

      • Janet

They literally keep your drink cold for a whole day even if your outside in the sun! Probably would keep them hot too but I drink cold drinks so no experience with that

    • Ashley

Dick’s Sports had sales on Yeti cups online last year for Cyber Monday. They are rarely discounted so that might be worth checking to see if they do it again

  12. Patty

Anyone know if there is a limit to the number of poinsettias you can get?

    • Ashley

      16 is the limit

  13. Bmcclint

Price for batteries is for the 36 count not 60.

  14. Melissa

    Yes!! I have been waiting on Stetson’s glove…I know I’m such a fool…Lol

    • Jennifer (Hip Sidekick)

LOL! You are too fun, Melissa! We love the glove, too! Did you know that might not be Stetson’s hand? We have so many great deal testers out there working hard for you!

  15. Dee

How about the stainless steel Shop Vac at Lowe’s….Black Friday price is $39.99. Can I get it now or do I have to wait till all the crazies are out on Black Friday? LOL
