Applegate Farms’ gave out coupons for its sustainable Do Good Dogs.
On July 20, 2022, Applegate offered a printable coupon for $4.99 off a six-pack of Do Good Dog hot dogs at Whole Foods Market or Walmart. This coupon was valid through January of 2023 and got you about 70% off your purchase, as the Do Good Dogs had a suggested retail price of $7.49!
If you were in New York City for National Hot Dog Day, Applegate also gave out free Do Good Dogs at the Whole Foods Market in Tribeca. They were served from a 100% battery-powered hot dog cart alongside Primal Kitchen condiments and Spindrift sparkling waters.
Dog Haus gave away FREE hot dogs!

On July 20th, 2022, you could get an Original Nathan’s hot dog for just 5¢ with the purchase of any burger from Frisch’s Big Boy.
Hot Dog on a Stick cooked up a hot BOGO deal.
On July 20, 2022, rewards members could redeem a buy one, get one free Original Turkey on a Stick or Veggie on a Stick deal. This promotion was available in-store and online at all participating locations.
Love’s Travel Stops gave away free roller grill item.
In 2022, Love’s partnered with Schwab Meat Co. to give customers a free roller grill item on National Hot Dog Day. This included Schwab’s Finest Hot Dogs, Tornados, Roller Bites, egg rolls, and more. Complimentary toppings were included, too!

Portillo’s offered FREE delivery, a Crocs giveaway, AND Lollapalooza tix!
In 2022, Portillo’s offered FREE delivery to customers who placed an order through its website. In addition to the delivery deal, Portillo’s also hosted the Rockin’ Crocs Giveaway, where you could win a special pair of limited edition Crocs with a hot dog design.

I remember this meal. My mom also sliced the hotdogs into mac and cheese – the kind made with Velveeta, milk and butter. I still make that one today only I add peas to it.

Used the low carb recipe and got rave reviews!! I actually forgot the salt and italian seasoning so I sprinkled salt and everything bagel seasoning on before baking and wow were they loved!! Oh and I also put a piece of munster cheese in them as I rolled them to bake. Thank you for the great idea and recipe for National Hotdog Day! It was fun to have this ready last night when the crew got home!!
