I’ve had Philo for a couple of years now. I’m single and not a sports fan so this is perfect for me. I also have a digital antenna and Amazon Prime so I am never at a loss for entertainment. Considering how much on TV today is reruns $20 per month is my sweet spot.
Thank you for your response, Peaches! Always great to hear feedback, especially when it comes to tv subscriptions.
We use philo and love it! Cutting out sports channels save u so much $. We have been very happy with it. I researched all of the ones out there and thus was the best deal for the channels we watched most imo.
Thank you so much for taking the time to write about your experience. This is so helpful to our community that may be interested. Thanks, Kelly!
I agree. While the staples of Hallmark, HGTV etc are expected pretty much whichever service you choose, to also get Science channel, History Channel, and the Travel Channel for this one basic price is amazing.
We use Philo. It filled in the gaps for those channels we couldn’t get with hulu+live. Hallmark, science channel, HGTV…
Thanks for sharing how you use Philo to fill in the gaps. Great idea, becca!
OMG! I literally was looking to subscribe to Philo and this text was sent to me. Freaked me out! Thanks! This is awesome!
Some things are just meant to be, Eva! You’re welcome and enjoy!
How does this compare to discovery plus?
I currently run both and always have what I want to watch. I strictly only run these besides prime and keeps my tv cost under 30 a month!! How great compared to 150.00 a month with a certain cable company in my area.
I cut the cord last year. I’m single, I don’t need sports, I’m addicted to TLC. Between Philo and Amazon prime, and a wall mounted antenna that I bought on Amazon for around $20 to pull in local stations, I’m saving a lot of money.
Whoa! Yes, you sure are saving money, Joanne! Congratulations!
Did anyone sign up for the 1-month for $1 subscription and notice that it expires in 1 week? I also saw reviews on the BB website that says it’s impossible to cancel because BB says it’s Philo’s responsibility and Philo said it’s BB’s responsibility? Hopefully they’ve made it easier now.
Oh darn! Sorry to hear this, Norsie. Hoping customer service will be able to help.
I actually have had Philo for years now because it offered Nick Jr., this is the only subscription service at the time I was looking that offered this station. I liked it so much, I now pay for my daughter subscription as her birthday present for the year.
how do I get the code?
Uh oh! Life got away from me and I got charged $20 today!
Sounds good but doesn’t have local stations.
