Black Friday and the 2025 holiday season are fast approaching, and retailers and delivery companies are gearing up by hiring thousands of seasonal workers.

If you’re looking for extra holiday work, these top employers are offering competitive pay and perks for both part-time and full-time roles. With the season just around the corner, now’s the perfect time to explore these seasonal job opportunities!


These 14 companies are hiring seasonal and holiday employees in 2025:


1. Michaels plans to hire some 10,000 seasonal employees this holiday season.

It was just announced that Michaels plans to hire 10,000 seasonal employees in the U.S. and Canada to help customers ring in the crafting season. Plus, last year, Michaels converted nearly 50% of their seasonal employees into regular roles after the holidays. To learn more or apply online, head to the Michaels Careers Page.


2. Transportation and logistics provider, Geodis, plans to hire 4,600 seasonal employees.

Geodis is prepared to handle the holiday volumes! The company plans to hire 4,600 seasonal employees across the U.S. and Canada. There will be plenty of warehouse openings for job seekers. 3. It’s almost National Hiring Week at ALDI!

Affordable grocer Aldi will be hosting its National Hiring Week from September 15th through the 21st or you may also apply to one of their open positions HERE. Employees can expect between $18 and $23 an hour for store and warehouse positions. Plus, those who work more than 30 hours a week can get access to PTO and healthcare.


4. Historical patterns suggest UPS will likely surpass last year’s seasonal hiring numbers.

Although they haven’t made a major announcement yet, the United Parcel Service Inc. typically hires 100,000–120,000 seasonal employees per year. Interested in applying? Go to Jobs-UPS.com.


5. Target consistently ranks among the top employers for seasonal workers.

Starting September 24th, interested candidates can apply for seasonal positions in all 50 states at Target Stores and supply chain facilities. Target’s minimum starting wage is between $15 – $27.95 per hour, and seasonal employees receive perks like benefits, flexible scheduling, and more.

6. 1-800-Flowers plans to hire thousands of seasonal and year-round employees.

Although 1-800-Flowers has not made an official announcement yet, you can expect 2,000–4,000 seasonal jobs to be available in early fall. Many positions are located in Illinois, Ohio, and Oregon, as well as some work-from-home positions. To learn more, head to 1800Flowers.com.


7. Now hiring: Macy’s 2025 seasonal jobs!

Though an official announcement had not yet been made, Macy’s 2025 seasonal positions are open NOW! Perks include: weekly paychecks, early access to pay, store discounts, and an opportunity for full-time employment after the season ends! Macy’s might be the employer for you!

8. If you’re in need of a seasonal job, Amazon’s got you!

Amazon regularly hires full-time, part-time, and seasonal employees. Wages start at $18 per hour, and Amazon offers flexible scheduling. Amazon’s website already has several seasonal openings listed. You can also visit Amazon’s website to learn more or to start Amazon’s application process.


9. When the holidays hit, Bath & Body Works is one of the first places to look—they’re known for seasonal hiring!

Do you love the smell of Bath & Body Works fragrances? If so, this seasonal job might be for you! Seasonal employees receive benefits like a 40% discount on store products, Daily Pay, and flexible hours!

10. Looking for a great place to work this 2025 season? Dick’s Sporting Goods is ranked among the best!

Then, visit a local store or distribution center on National Signing Day to meet the team and be interviewed.

They haven’t announced National Signing Day for 2025 yet, so keep checking back!


11. FedEx typically has seasonal positions, and many start at or over $18/hour.

Though FedEx has not made a major announcement about hiring, there are several seasonal positions listed on its website for locations across the country. They’re looking for temporary warehouse employees, delivery drivers, and administrative employees. Visit the FedEx website to learn more about working for FedEx or apply for a seasonal position.


12. Kohl’s regularly hires thousands of workers for the holidays!

Kohl’s has a plethora of job listings for seasonal workers at their stores and distribution network. While the hourly pay varies by position, Kohl’s associates are all offered a 15% Kohl’s discount every day, and the company also offers flexible scheduling.

13. The United States Postal Service actively hires seasonal employees.

As the holiday season approaches, USPS knows that this is definitely its busiest season. Their website mentions that they are “actively hiring” holiday employees. The USPS offers competitive compensation, on-the-job training, and opportunities to potentially become full-time, if desired. 14. Walmart usually hires seasonal workers.

The popular retail chain has made no formal announcement regarding seasonal jobs. However, they have had listings for seasonal employees throughout the year. To see open positions or apply, visit Walmart’s website. You can also visit Indeed.com, where there are several hundred listings for seasonal employees. Most seem to make between $14 and $27 an hour.
