Although Black Friday and the 2021 holiday shopping season will continue to look different just like last year, retailers and delivery companies are still preparing for a peak shopping season by hiring seasonal workers and offering thousands of jobs.

With more people feeling comfortable shopping in person, there’s still a strong presence of online shopping, and many retailers are preparing themselves for the shopping demands in all sectors by posting seasonal hirings.

Even with seasonal positions, many application processes have been taking place online. If you’re looking for seasonal employment to help pay the bills or fund your own holiday shopping, the following companies are some of the nation’s largest seasonal employers trying to attract workers with competitive pay and perks.

1. Amazon is hiring with bonuses up to $3,000.

Back in spring 2020 due to the coronavirus pandemic, Amazon created 400,000 jobs, including package sorters and warehouse workers, employing over one million people.

Last year, FedEx hired thousands of positions, and, this year, they’re continuing to have various seasonal positions. They’re looking for temporary warehouse employees, delivery drivers, and administrative employees.

Kohl’s is hiring thousands of workers for their stores, distribution, and Sephora sectors. While the hourly pay varies by position, Kohl’s associates are all offered a 15% Kohl’s discount, flexible scheduling, and weekly paychecks.

Target is looking for thousands of seasonal employees to fill various roles. Some of the divisions include stocking, general merchandise, distribution centers, and more.

Target’s minimum starting wage is $15 per hour, and seasonal employees also receive perks like flexible scheduling, masks for every shift, a store discount, free virtual doctor’s visits through the end of the year, and other health and wellness benefits. UPS has thousands of job listings including package handlers, drivers, driver-helpers, and personal vehicle drivers. Varying on each job, the descriptions state how many are either part-time or seasonal.

In addition to attractive hourly pay rates, eligible seasonal employees who are students can earn financial college assistance through UPS’s Earn and Learn program.

    I would love a part time job, but will not apply because of vaccine mandates. All will be short staffed, because of.
    Any remote work available? Most want this, yet little seems to be offered.

      I know this is a late response but I know Amazon hires sometimes for remote work.
