Oh Target... 😍

Like most people, I love services that make my life easier. Thanks to online shopping, I can even buy groceries from the comfort of my own home and have them delivered to my doorstep! Now, if only it was easy to save even more money grocery shopping online. 🤔

Tada! ✨ Well, now it IS!

Target recently announced they’ve now combined the convenience of their Drive Up and Order Pickup services with the beloved savings from Cartwheel. YUP! This means that all of those deals you would normally score from having to walk the aisles of Target are now available to those who place orders online to be picked up at the store!

Saving at our favorite store seriously couldn’t get any easier. Watch below to see just how easy it is to save big from home…

This week I set out on a mission to order some of the latest deals we’ve posted that specifically use Cartwheel offers to see just how much I could really save. And I’m happy to report that this is a Hip2Save tested game changer. 🙌🏻

After picking out some of my favorite offers (be sure to bookmark our Target deals page), I popped over to Target.com and started building my online cart. I added a new CoverGirl foundation, some seasonal treats, a stockpile of household paper goods, gum, a few fun games for my family to try out and more!

Then, I checked out the Cartwheel offers and added the ones that applied to my cart.

I hopped back over to the Target checkout page, and just like that, all the Cartwheel offers I had saved applied to my cart during the final checkout process! Plus, I took advantage of some extra savings by combining sales, gift card promos, and subscribe and save options for certain items. I ended up saving around $50 on my whole order thanks to the promotions. Sweet!

All that’s left was to head to Target to pick up my order when I was notified it was ready. I chose Order Pickup, which meant I headed inside the store to grab my order at Guest Services. Even better, for some of you, there’s also the option to have your order brought out to you with their Drive Up service. Talk about convenience!

5. Refresh the checkout page on Target.com and your selected Cartwheel offers will be deducted from your order total.

Have not tried this yet but I will be soon. Thanks for the video.

      You bet! 🙌

That’s the best video ((((hugs)))) Collin 😍

    • Collin (Mrs. Hip)

Awww… thanks so much! I sure appreciate the comment!

  4. Anna

Love this. Especially since you can see the cartwheel coming off your total and not having to hope it came off your total in store.

    • Collin (Mrs. Hip)

YES! I agree – I love that part, too!

  5. Pam

Omg I just did this on the 40% off M&Ms for store pick up and they won’t be in until after the cartwheel expires. So basically I was able to use my cartwheel now for something that was out of stock in both of my stores. So excited about this!!!

    • Pam

One more thing….it does not work on all items. The 50% off nabisco bags is in store only for me.

      • AmyA

I noticed this today as well. The cartwheel for Crest toothpaste was in store only. Not even an option for pick up or drive up. It was a $1 off coupon, so maybe $ coupons are different then % cartwheel offers.

  6. Saira

I have done this 3 times this week! I have used cartwheel, the 25% off toy coupon, and also a Target gift card. Each time easy checkout, each time even easier pickup. I like the drive up option. They come right out to my car within about 2 minutes of me putting in on the app that I’m there for my order. This is so convenient! It’s making my Christmas shopping so much easier-try it out y’all!!!

    • Collin (Mrs. Hip)

Yay!! I so agree! So excited!! 💃

  7. Jennifer

It’s great that Target started doing this but I’ll continue roaming the aisles with my giant iced coffee. Go there for toilet paper and walk out with $50 or more of stuff. That’s my me time! 😁

    • Mary

      Same!!

  8. happy

I’m so happy that Target is doing this. I can send out my husband to pick up stuff and it won’t waste a lot of his time. And, I’ll get exactly what I want (no bonus items, “I couldn’t find its,” or misunderstandings) and I can still save $$!!
The only issue is I can’t seem to add groceries like yogurt for drive-up.

  9. angela

Will ibotta deals work with this since you don’t have a usual receipt for online pick up orders?

  10. Sara

Just curious how is your total $90? When I do the math it comes out to $70.

    • PH

I was wondering the same thing!!

    • Jen

She got 2 $10 gift cards back, which show as a discount, but do not come off of the total.

  11. barbie

How did you earn the two $10 gift cards? I can only see the one promo for the paper towels/toilet paper for the gift card. What/how did you earn the 2nd $10 gift card? I would love to see a break down of the transaction so I can copy it!! Collin got some great things!! Please share, lol!

      • barbie

Oh darn I never received the toy catalog and I’m a red card holder! I’m going to have to make a call to Target and have a strongly worded conversation with them, lol! Thanks Collin for sharing all your great deals!! Your video was awesome and so helpful!

        • Ella

I also didn’t receive the toy catalog. I’ve received them in the past and I am both a red card holder and have kids that love to look through it to pick out their wish lists😣. I wonder if they will send if I call customer service?

  12. Christine

I have stopped shopping at Target because of the hassle from coupons. Their prices went up too, and I don’t like their new store brands as much as the old ones. In the past I would have just couponed for the good deals but they hassle me every time I go in there. This would be the ONLY way I would go back to shopping there.

  13. *Angela-Miles*

Just a heads up typo: “Follow these simple steps to apple cartwheel discounts”

P.s. Collin you are so adorable girl 🙂 .

    • Collin (Mrs. Hip)

Aww, thanks for the sweet comment AND for the heads up! Just updated! 😉

  14. Sarah

Thanks for breaking it down. Much easier with the steps written out! I’m a beginner so you’ve already converted me to always looking for a coupon first!

    • Collin (Mrs. Hip)

      You’re very welcome, Sarah! 😉

I love this and am very guilty of shopping online. I talked to a manager of a store I frequently would order online and pickup in store they were going out of business. I asked if they made any money on online orders he said very little. The .com makes the money and paid them a percentage to get the order ready. So as this is an awesome savings for us just more at putting our big box stores out of business. I’m sure they have to get more help for this service which probably eats up a lot of the the store profit.

  16. Lyndsey1stunna

This is so awesome!! Thanks for sharing!!

  17. dropofrain

so happy Target is doing that because quite often I could not get my phone working inside of the store when I was looking at the discounts. Also, I am so freaking excited that we are neighbor’s now and who knows maybe one day I could run into you in person!!! P.S. we used to live in Idaho five years ago.

  18. Laura Schley

I’m waiting for them to allow you to use coupons on pick up orders.

  19. Loren

I cannot get the Cartwheel offers to apply to my pick up order…it doesn’t seem like anyone else is having this issue so I’m not sure what I’m missing.

  20. Jane S

The store pickup area workers didn’t ask for my target card and I added the cartwheel offer to my app. So although ordered online for pickup I think you must have to have them scan your app bar code to get the cartwheel offers I already added to my list.

  21. markiesluv

I am trying this cartwheel online tonight for the first time and nothing online or in the app is taking off the cartwheel . Not sure what to do???

    • Holly (Hip2Save Sidekick)

Hi there, be sure you are selecting in store pickup as Cartwheel won’t work otherwise. Hope that helps!
