This week’s Happy Friday reader, Wendy, just gave us an awesome idea for utilizing all those free samples! From doctor appointments to bonus items from your favorite brands, free samples are almost everywhere we shop. With the holidays approaching and family and friends staying over, Wendy came up with this smart tip to create a bathroom basket filled with countless goodies she’s collected from free samples.
I kept getting a stockpile of free samples in the mail that I couldn’t keep up with them and use them all myself, so I thought, “Why not put them in the guest bathroom in a clever way and let guests use them?”
I just had a family of four staying with me for a week, and they were so thankful because they forgot a toothbrush, deodorant, and things I had in there that they did not have to go out and buy.
Thank you, Wendy, for sharing this awesome hip tip that we all find super useful and convenient! Even if you won’t personally use a sample you’ve received, your family and friends may, and I’m sure they’d really appreciate this awesome gesture to let them know you’re thinking of them.
This also means no more wasting these sample products! Definitely a win-win! 🎉

We do this in the bedroom with toiletries and snack items. I find guests won’t always tell you when they want a snack, but will happily help themselves if it’s in a basket in their guest room.
I keep a goodie basket in the guest room with sample products. When I know somebody is coming I will set a basket of sample snacks in there too.

I have a little organizer that hangs on the back of our guest bedroom door with lots of various samples. People seem to love it!
I do this also! In a basket on a shelf right outside the guest room! Love it!
That is a really great idea that I wish I thought of when we had out of town visitors early summer. Will be def putting that out the next time we have company
