The seafood arrives frozen in an eco-friendly insulated cooler that is packed with dry ice, so your seafood is ready to be stashed in your freezer or cooked immediately. By freezing wild-caught fish shortly after it’s brought to shore, that “just-caught” taste gets locked in and lasts, giving you that fresh seafood flavor.
This an awesome, yet sustainable way to have fresh seafood delivered directly to your home!
Seafood is low-carb and also high in vitamins & minerals. It also has numerous health benefits, including lowering the risk of heart attack, stroke, obesity, and more!

“I have been a subscriber for over a year. At first, I had it delivered every two months but recently bumped up to every month. We get the mixed (salmon and white). It is absolutely worth it to us – the fish is so clean and delicious tasting. You can tell it is much better quality than what you get at the grocery store.”
“I love my salmon! I can definitely taste the difference, it is so fresh and tasty. I never experienced any pin bones in my batches, and my salmon was not dyed a darker pink or overly fatty… so I know that it is truly wild-caught. I also love their Codfish and Halibut. The price point is on par with my local fish market. I highly recommend this company.”
“I’ve ordered our family’s year supply of salmon from Wild Alaska now twice and have been happy both times. Orders arrived on time, packaged appropriately and the fish was so yummy. Will never buy from a local grocer again!”
I have been thinking about ordering salmon from them. I saw a couple of great looking salmon recipes that I wanted to try and when I looked at the grocery store salmon it was from Chili and China so I didn’t purchase. This is the best deal I’ve seen so far on 1st box purchases. Thanks!
Trader Joe’s sells this wonderful Soyaki sauce. I take each piece of salmon and “paint” it with this sauce. Let it sit in the fridge for an hour to marinate. Then I broil it for 8-10 minutes (depends on the thickness of your salmon). Super easy and delicious.
Was going to say it’s an impressive dinner for company (sadly all of us are unable to entertain now) but it’s definitely a lovely dinner for you and your loved ones!
YUM! Thanks for sharing that with us, Bunny!
I have been a subscriber for over a year. At first I had it delivered every two months, but recently bumped up to every month. We get the mixed (salmon and white). It is absolutely worth it to us – the fish is so clean and delicious tasting. You can tell it is much better quality than what you get at the grocery store. I live in southern California where (until this Corona Virus disrupted everything) shoppers can get the best of everything, everywhere, all the time. No fish I have ever bought in a store compares to this (looking at you, Whole Foods). If you are on the fence, give it a try. If this is too expensive for you, make sure you are at least buying wild caught fish. That farmed fish is generally filthy – avoid it if you can!
Thanks a TON for your helpful comment, Andrea! SO glad you have been loving your orders!
I just opened my first box of fish from this company. I would say that most of the 12 pieces I received are single serve portions. We have small kids so I may Be able to get away with sharing 2 portions 3 ways, but if you are feeding older kids or adults you will have to use one portion (1/12) per person which makes each meal pricy. However I’m okay with that if the fish is excellent and given the fact my family is trying to avoid grocery shopping now.
I put salmon in the air fryer spray with EVO, let it cook, then lightly baste it with Trader Joe’s siracha barbecue sauce 😌
I was thinking about sending this as a gift. Is it possible to just buy one box, or do I need the subscription and how hard is it to cancel after?
Hi Jessica! This is ordered as a monthly membership. You can cancel, pause or change your shipments at anytime when logging into your Wild Alaskan Account. Hope this helps!
Am I correct that this comes to over $29.00 a pound for the wild salmon box (12 packs x 6 ounces each = 72 ounces / 16 ounces per pound = 3.5 pounds)? If so, that is wayyyy higher than I pay for wild caught Alaskan Salmon, cut the way I want it at my grocery store. Am I right or is my math wrong?
Hi Liz,
yes, you are correct. Remember, these offers benefit us to some extent but “pricey” offers like this….are put on here because the biggest benefactor is Hip2Save.
yup & their “not sponsored posts” as well :/
Is it farm raised or wild caught? I only eat sockeye for healthy fats and nutrition.
Hi Evie, This is wild-caught fish which is packaged shortly after it’s caught so that the “just-caught” taste gets locked in and lasts, giving you that fresh seafood flavor. I’m thinking these would make healthy fats.
Thank you!
This isn’t fresh, it’s frozen. It’s wild caught not farmed, but isn’t fresh fish not been frozen?
exactly…this “just caught taste” nonsense is ridiculous (it’s just a ‘selling point’). it works with some fruits/vegetables when frozen right after harvesting/picking (think frozen peas/carrots/canned tomatoes) where they retain their nutritional value but not so much with seafood. This is literally frozen seafood. Why anyone would pay these exorbitant prices for this (beside not having to leave your house) is beyond me.
Nothing is ever “fresh” unless you just caught it, brought it home, gutted and filet it yourself. Generally the best fish to buy is frozen and individually packaged filet’s like they offer. Now that is extremely expensive but your paying for the convenience. Unless you can go to a seafood market where they sell them whole and typically they are gutted already, your best option is frozen to get to close as “fresh” as possible.
