So I just heard word from Alli over at Couponing for 4 about an amazing Wendy’s promotion that is going on! Now before reading any further, I want you to be aware that this promo may not be nationwide, so I suggest calling your local Wendy’s ahead of time and asking.
Alright, so what’s the deal?
Well, supposedly when you donate $1 to the Dave Thomas Foundation at Wendy’s, you’ll get a keytag valid for FREE Junior Frosties for the rest of the year. Yes, the rest of 2010!

I’m near Jacksonville, FL and I went to the Wendy’s by my house – they had no idea what I was talking about. I’m going to try the one near work tomorrow because this would be great to have during the summer!
I just called all location around Anderson, IN and Pendleton and none are participating.
Wendy’s in Exeter PA is doing it. Donate $1 and get the keychain, then you must make a purchase everytime you want to get the free frosty.
does anyone know if there are stores in portland, or doing this?

I did some looking on the Net for a list of participating stores with no luck. However, I did find several stories from newspapers and websites, GoodWill & Foodbanks, where there are Wendy’s participating. These are the areas I have seen so far: South Western VA, Chicago, DC/MD, Orlando, Austin, some areas of PA. I tried to email Wendy’s about freebie, but their contact us was not working!
Does anyone know if any in Northeast Missouri are participating…more specifically the one in Kirksville or neighboring towns?

Just called the Murrieta, CA store on Murrieta Hot Springs Rd. and they are participating.
In Blue Bell, PA the one there has it. i might go every day
I am in Philly. I bought 2 of them..as the money goes towards his Adoption Foundation. His daughter was adopted.. On my keytag..it states at participating Wendy’s in the Pennsylvania Tri-state Area.. which would include.. PA, NJ and Delaware. Ofcourse you have to purchase an additional item.. but thats what the 99cent menu is for..LOL

I bought one back in August. It was done as a fundraiser for a local college. It does state that the frostie is free with any purchase.
My friend called the Murrieta, Hot Springs store, they said they were participating. Just packed up 3 kids and went there. When I asked them if I could do it they looked at me like I was crazy and said they had never heard of it. I can handle stores in our area not doing it, but I have no patience for employees of stores telling you something over the phone and then when you get there it is not really happening. I have had this happen several times at several different stores other than just this event. Do we have to ask for a manager when we call places to get a right answer or what?
Wow!!!! I’m so surprised…but my Wendy’s in North East, MD IS participating!!! They told me that if I bought 4 I’d be able to get 4 when I came in with my kids-This is AWESOME!!!!!! I never would have spotted this on my own-thanks Hip!
Chicagoland Wendys are particpating. I just got mine today and they gave me the frosty too, so it already paid for itself!
I just called wendy’s in my area (puyallup, WA) and no one knows about it. However I called one in Renton, WA and the lady said it won’t begin till 1st week of Feb, and usually it’s most wendy’s not just one. Maybe the other locations aren’t informed yet. We’ll see the first week of Feb.
I have asked around Everett, Wa and no luck.. Any idea if this promo is happening north of Seattle?
I called Wendy’s and the guy laughted at me. Good times. I live 45 minutes north of Sacramento, CA.
I live in Central VA and bought the key tags on Sunday. They are cute and the Frosty was YUMMY!
On the keytag it says Southwest VA area Wendy’s only. I got one last week, but I think its just in certain areas.
HOUSTON/ SUGARLAND is a no so far but the manager said if i came in with one they would honor it. she said there is a customer that has one that always comes in.
