I just got back from meijer in the detroit area and they are on sale 3 for $3. I didn’t have my coupons printed yet 🙁 so i didn’t try out the deal.
My Target won’t let me use cereal coupons on the cups of cereal. Despite the coupons not listing size requirements, they say that they exclude the cups of cereal. As my store manager said, “You’d be like, getting them for free!”
Duh. That’s the point!

I get so irritated with the cashiers/ managers that so are so worried about someone getting something for free… It’s like hello a coupon is the same as me giving you cash because the store gets reimbursed. I have told a manager no it isn’t free because it took my time to find, print, clip and drive here… and time is money! lol I was being comical but all he could do was stand their with his mouth wide open! A little off topic but my boyfriend drives a tow truck and gets tired of a packed lunch all the time… well, I had given him several of the burger king free kids meal coupons that we were able to print in january he gave the coupon to the woman at the register and some other worker comes walking up and is like what is that? Then he said it was for a 1.00 off lol… My boyfriend said… No it says FREE. The guy was like we can’t take this it looks like it was copied. My boyfriend proceeded to tell him NO, it was printed and it is an internet coupon that came through an email. I asked him if they took it and he said yah I made them because its a legit coupon. I was so proud of him lol, I just found it too funny how proud he was that stood his ground
Good for him – my hubby was apprehensive to use it b/c we have been given a hard time at BK and Subway about getting a kids meal for an adult. I don’t see the big deal, but Subway in particular won’t let an adult purchase a kids meal unless the kid is actually with them. Good for him!
My local Target told me that I couldn’t use it on the cups of Cheerios because it “has to match the picture” which is of a BOX of Cheerios. Whatever! I didn’t argue; I’ll just use it somewhere else.
Just used this on the cereal cups at Target to get 2 free – the cashier gave me a hard time because the picture on the Q is of a box of cereal, but he took it when I pointed out there wasn’t a size listed. He was also freaked out because I used the $4 off any Scrabble game to get the carabiner game that was on clearance for $2.78 – he had to call someone over for that. But they all went through so that’s all that matters!
I got mine at Target last night, they tried arguing with me too but i pointed out there were no size restrictions and she still tried to tell me it was not ok. I finally said, if its not valid it won’t scan right? so she scanned it and it went through perfectly! she still looked skeptical but she did it. Then came my free oreo coupons and she tried to say it wasnt’ the same thing as i bought so i took them out of the bag and read her the exact wording on the package of oreos and on the coupon!! I was very polite about it though. Then she tried to say i couldn’t use 2 at a time and the whole time my boyfriend is standing behind me whispering “coupon queen fighting coupon nazi, who’s gonna win, who’s gonna get free oreos” hahaha well needless to say i won 🙂 Got my free oreos and my free cheerios as well as a couple other goodies including dog treats for only $1.00 🙂 Thanks Collin!
