KMart Double Coupon Deals 4/4-4/10
As most of you know, Kmart will be holding another super doubles coupon promotion at select locations starting tomorrow, April 4th! Because of all the recent issues with Kmart and the fact that they are only doubling 5 coupons (see all the rules below), I personally will not be shopping at Kmart anytime soon. However, I have still created a list of deals below for you die hard Kmart shoppers…Hope you save lots of money and have fun! Here is a list of select participating Kmart locations; however, I always suggest contacting your local Kmart store (even if it is on this list) to be sure that they are indeed participating (you never know with Kmart, right?!).
Below are the basic “rules” for this event:
*You can use manufacturer coupons up to and including a $2 value (i.e. if you have a $2/1 coupon, it will be doubled up to $2 for a total of $4 off the price of the item)
*You must be a member of the Shop Your Way Rewards program AND the cashier MUST swipe your reward’s card at the beginning of your transaction!!*
*Limit 5 total coupons per customer per day.
*If you are using more than 5 coupons in your transaction, ONLY the first 5 coupons will be doubled.
*Does not include Kmart Store Coupons or Kmart Pharmacy Store Coupons (i.e. Kmart coupons will NOT be doubled)
*If you are not currently a Kmart Shop Your Way Rewards card member, do NOT stress! There are 3 simple ways to become a member:
1. Go to the Customer Service Dept at your local Kmart or Sears store and request a card; you will be able to sign up and receive your card immediately (this is obviously the best option if you have a store close by)!
2. Call the Shop Your Way Rewards Card dept at 1.800.991.8708; they will take all your information over the phone and then a card will be mailed to you (the card typically takes 6-8 weeks to arrive). Even if you do not have the physical card in hand for the double coupon days, you can give the cashier your phone # or member # in order to pull up your reward’s account.
3. Click here to sign up on-line; then just print off a temporary card to use while you wait for the permanent card to arrive in the mail.

You can use your $3 off huggies coupon, however, it just won’t double. So if Huggies (this is just an example of a nice rounded off price) is $10.00, it will just deduct $3.00 off of the price = $7.00.
Doesn’t it double “up to 4”? So her $3 off coupon would turn into $4 off.

I went today and tried and even took my coupon book so I would have access to all my coupons…….I found the base prices were higher and even with the coupon being doubled…It did not seem like a deal to me. Just a waste of great coupons. Better deals at other stores…..no problem with any of my 5 coupons though. I only did stuff I could get for free.

You can use it, but it won’t double. It’ll still be worth just $3. I don’t know how much diapers cost at KMart but I’m sure you can get them cheaper with a sale…I would save the coupon. HTH. 🙂

Lizz, Your $3 Huggies coupon will still only be $3. Only coupons up to $2 will double.
Exactly, the maximum doubled value is $4, so the maximum value of a coupon that can be valued is $2…
A $3 coupon stays, because doubled it would be above the max of $4.
The rules just keep getting more confusing! Luckily my Kmart is about 2 blocks away or I’d never go!
I got a lot of stuff for free last time they did doubles – this time doesn’t look so good.
I agree with you Katie, I got almost a whole cartful for a couple of bucks…but with a 5 Q limit, it’s not worth it (at least not for me who lives 45 min. away from a Kmart). Even their sale doesn’t look all that great this time around.
One major problem is the prices are too high there to begin with- I literally had to search for something that would be close to a good deal with double Q’s. ANd the manager said there would be issues with Internet printable coups, Just not worth it to me

Salina – check with your store if they are still accepting the $10/$20….my CA store had signs posted all over that they were ‘overcirculated’ coupons & would not be accepting them.
If your store will take it, you can. The limit of coupons you can double is 5 per day, but you can use more than five coupons for your transaction.
Salina, my store in Oceanside (CA) had signs up as well that this was a fraudulent coupon and would not be accepted.

I have a couple $2 / 1 Huggies and several $2 / 1 Pull-ups. I was thinking abt using the Huggies (they expire 4-8-10), but what do you guys think abt using the Pull-Ups Q’s (the expire 4-30-10)? I’m wondering if I should hold on to them – there is a $2 / 1 store Q in the April WAGS coupon booklet – and I’m thinking I might be able to pair both w/ a sale @ WAGS (and hopefully get a RR!).
I don’t shop WAGS, but I’d say you should consider when the last Pull-Ups sale was. if was recently, you might be better off using your Q’s at Kmart. Search google for future Wags ads…you should be able to get some info in advance 🙂
I just looked at my Kmart Ad. They have another deal..Buy 25.00 worth of P and G products, get a $10.00 Prepaid Mastercard by mail. Combine it with P and G and double coupons it will be a great deal!
I was under the impression that the P&G Visa (prepaid) promotion ended 03/31. That’s what my form says anyways…I did it early on in March. Unless they came out with a new form for that promotion.

I was also thinking like you that this might be a good deal with the double coupons but one problem my store is on the list and no WORKER (i use that term bc I am not sure if they work their or just stand around) knows if they are doing double coupons or not but all the WORKERS agree with me that they are on the list go figure…
I’m boycotting…plus, the prices are ridiculous! Who pays that for stuff, ever?!? The last time I was there I tried to use my $10/20 coupon and was treated like a criminal…no thanks! I can only imagine what this sale will be like.
I plan on going, but only because it’s within walking distance of my apartment. So far I’ve only found a few things that I’ll be getting and if it wasn’t so close I wouldn’t even bother.
Corporate Kmart needs to read the comments on these ‘money-saving’ blogs! They would be shocked that no one appreciates their pricey products, and total lack of good marketing!….Thankfully I was one of the few that could actually use the $10/$20 coupon. Although, I am just so amazed how they stay in business!…I ♥ my commissary and CVS 🙂

All of our AZ locations open at 8 a.m. on Sundays, and usually have not changed that time for doubles events. HTH 🙂

I’m so excited for this. I’m going Monday and taking two other people with me. Sure it’s 35 miles to the nearest Kmart, but that’s okay! I’ve missed double coupons so much that I’d probably drive 70 miles to get to one if I had to. 🙂
Thirty-five miles for five doubled coupons? At best, this will get you five freebies. You can do that almost any week at Rite Aid, CVS, or Wags.

I believe this might be worth doing b/c at least one time for me atleast. I heard that they are participating in the Kellogg’s free milk deal. The one where you buy x amount of cereal you will get a print off for x amt of gallons of milk. If they double those and all goes well I will be happy! 🙂
It seems to me that most of the free or good deals are things that I’ve been able to get for even better deals(like overage or free) at other stores throughout the year. I don’t even care that my Kmart isn’t doubling. I hope for success for all those who do go though. 🙂
Hi, I’m new to this D. Q. at K-mart so can I use 5 Q’s, leave the store and return to use 5 more?
You can return to use 5 more (you can even use more during the first transaction) but only the first 5 they scan will double for the day. It’s tied to the rewards card that will be scanned at the beginning of the transaction so it will know if you leave and come back that day.

I was just scanning the comments to see if someone else was going to post this. I did hear this too that they have to be 5 different coupons. Meaning if you have 5 coupons for $1.50 off right guard deodorant you could only use one of them.
My Kmart allowed 2 Loreal cosmetic $2 coupons to be used. I didn’t have any problem with it.
5 (10 with my hubby`s card) free/cheap things? i would jump on it at any other store, so too, i will jump on it at kmart… but i wont be happy about it! (spoiled by 75-25-10 limit i guess)

I haven’t been in a kmart for years. You’d think since they are slowly dying (and Sears is suffering for it) that they would do more to boost business so they don’t go bankrupt.
I don’t travel into K-mart very often, there were hardly any customers, but did so last week to get the Downy on sale 2/$5 and used 2- $3 Q’s but wouldn’t give me the $1 overage and had to pay sales tax on the $5…so ended up costing me .30 cents. Will be interesting to see how busy they will be w/DQ”s week…. I’m really surprised they r still in business!
Does anyone know if you can use the same coupon in the same transaction? I have a k-mart about 1 mile from my house and I have many 2.00 off pull-ups coupons just wondering if I can buy 5 pull-ups and use 5 pull ups coupons? That would make them about 6.00 each which really isn’t that great a deal anyway I suppose.
I think you can do this. They’ve never had rules about using more than one of the same coupons and doubling them, so long as you have the right number of products…That’s $20 off diapers instead of $10–I love that!

I just went to Kmart tonight and got 2 gillette body washes, and 3 packs of razors. I had a 2.00 coupon for each, which doubled to 4.00 each. I got them all for free, but had to pay .68 in taxes. They didn’t have a problem that I was using the same type of Q’s on the same type of products. HTH.
I bought five of the same item with five of the same coupon and they all doubled.
The K-mart in Idaho Falls had a sign posted that stated they do not accept the 10 off $20Q. 🙁
I saw my Kmart on the list but called today and they said they weren’t participating. I hope other people call before they go so their not dissapointed. I would’ve been a little upset.
I’d call again tomorrow (or corporate on Monday) — you just never know with the Kmart employees…They’re not bad people, they just don’t seem to have anyone tell them what’s going on!
kmart is 5 mins away…so if i find some good coupons..it wll be a good option for me to try. I went yesterday (only 2nd time this year) because of the 8.99 leapster books and my 3 dollar coupons. I got them no problem…i did try to slide a 10/20 in my pile….but the cahsier was super nice in explaining he didn’t get why either, but they weren’t accepting them and showed me the sign that said so. he said his manager said “they aren’t in our system YET”…i did use 2 the first day so i’m not complaining…still not a big fan of kmart for sure but will try the doubles if it’s worth it.

I think they can look it up by your phone number pretty much the instant you registar on the website, I signed up on evening and then next day went in for something little and she was able to find my account by my phone number and supposedly did the equivalent of swiping an actual card. hth
After my complaint letter to corporate about the $10/$20 coupon the local store manager called me and tried explaining it to me and then said I could come in and use it… Wasn’t going to but had to return a pair of shoes anyway and had my price adjusted on a bunch of clearance shoes that I had already bought for my daughter.. 6 pairs of toddler shoes for $12! Not bad.. I don’t think I’ll be going back though…

Say if you buy something for $4…and you have (1) $2 off coupon….do you need a second $2 off coupon for them to double it or will they just use the one coupon and scan it twice?

If an item is priced at $4 and you have a $2 off coupon for that item, the coupon will be doubled so it will be $4 off the item, making it free except you have to pay sales tax on the $4. You cannot use 2 manufacturer coupons on the same one item.

Does anyone know if you have to be a certain age for the rewards cards (For example could I get my kids one?) Or if the person with the rewards card has to be present or can you sign someone else (hubby) up and use his without him being there?
You have to be 18 in order to get a rewards card.
I had signed up myself and my husband online. I printed the temporary “cards”, and went to the store by myself. I asked customer service if I could do a seperate transaction using my husbands card, and she didn’t have a problem with it. IMO, don’t assume they will let you do this. That would be alot of work for you if they don’t let you do it. Ask kindly first!
Last time K-Mart doubled you could get lots of free items with BOGO coupons. Is this not the case again? I’ve been saving my bogo coupons for this. Not sure it’s worth going for only 5 coupons.

Not worth my time this time around…. KMart has such poor customer service every time I go, and with being able to use only 5 coupons, it just isn’t as worth it for me. 🙁
I debated going…but truly not worth it IMO. I went last time and spent 180 before q’s, and 11.84 after. I had over 50 coupons…but there was a lady at my Kmart who brought 8 family members, and took up the register for over an hour, and wiped out shelves. I stuck with a little from each area, and then donated my items to the local animal shelter/womens shelter. But I dont think it’s worth it for 5 items, as they are priced a little higher than any other store.
I was SOOO excited to see that my Alabama store was participating. THEN major depression set in…..I called and the store said they had chose not to participate in the event. Then when i called corporate they too said that even though the stores are on the list the store manager may still decide to opt out of the event! BUMMER!
well i might try this deal if any one else is interested as well. i will be buying two tide 75oz bottles and one snuggle 50 oz. i will be using the $10 off 20 coupon if they allow it. 2 $1 off coupons for the tide and one $3 off for the snuggle.

****UPDATE*****
Ok so I am skeptical about going bc I just called my lovely Kmart and 1st off the CS lady was rude saying they would not know if they were participating in the sale until tomorrow morning, BULLCRAP! So I said well I would like to speak to a Manager. Well he gets on the line and tries to tell me he’s not sure (blahblahblah) but he was in a conference call and so he’s ‘pretty sure’ if his store is on the List then its a part of the sale….
THEN heres the real zinger, he attempts to tell me (who is looking at Collins post!) that its NOT 5 Q’s, its 5 ITEMS and they have no way to side track the system. I said well I am reading it in black & white and it plainly says ONLY THE FIRST 5 COUPONS, not items bc certain Items you have on sale 2/7.00 so of course you can get more than 5 items! He then stammers and back tracks and is like oh no we want your business and if you have any problems (needless to say I got his name..lol) just say you spoke to me and go to Customer Service. I said look I’m not some crazy coupon Lady but I do have a few things I would like to get a good deal on, and do not want my time on Easter Sunday wasted!! He’s like oh no we want you to use coupons or we wouldn’t accept them or offer double coupons days this and that!! He also was sure to tell me that I can ONLY come in the store ONCE every 24hours and use my Shop Rewards card, (so what..lol). I am going to go just to see if I can get my 10 Johnson & Johnson Baby Items for $15, which will please me ever so much!! But if I don’t, well I will not be a Happy Kmart Shopper. I am in NC by the way, so if you are in NC also call the store and talk to a Manager..LOL.

I know you were frustrated but honestly, sometimes the stores have no idea until they get there if they are in fact participating. He was not lying to you. I have a pretty good Kmart but they are sticklers for rules but they do tell me sometimes they were given any notice prior to the first day. Really bad communication at Kmart. 🙁
Grrrr. I got up early to get to Kmart at opening. They only had 2 gallons of the Heinz Vinegar they had on sale 2/$5 so I got their only 2. As for the J&J 2/$7 Baby Toiletries, what a JOKE. No sale signs up, but they did have their brand sale signs up 2/$9 they only had 1 wash, 1 lotion, and a shelf full of baby powder (who even uses baby powder anymore???) so I got the wash, lotion, and 4 powders (which I will exchange later for washes..lol) then the lady at the register jipps me out of 2.50! She scans the 3 $2.00 off coupons then tells me she has to use $2 three times then enter $1.50 three times because they are ‘on sale for 3.50 and i cant get money back’ So I am like no I should get 1 for free and fifty cent off the other. Anywhoo I am not skilled at this coupon stuff yet and didn’t argue but I am not happy with Kmart at all. Their lacking CS and lack of product just bc its on sale its a JOKE. I almost took a camera phone pic of the shelves…lol. It was so obvious they do that on purpose. I am wanting to really get into couponing to save our family and lower our debit, but sometimes I get so discouraged becuase every time I try to get a good deal I feel like I am the ‘bad guy’..lol. DH says I just have to be more firm and speak up…lol. I go buy 3 papers this AM to get the good PG coupons and they aren’t even in there, but my mom (who subscribes) got them, another let down…lol. So we will be checking into subscribing to the paper I guess…lol. Does anyone else ever experience this and get down in the dumps…LOL. Thats ok though I am joining CVS Extra Care TODAY and am excited about that, YAY!

With the papers, call the company on Monday, tell them that the coupons weren’t in there….I have even taken papers back because of missing ads, that is the only reason I bought the paper in the first place. I am also in the habit of checking papers before I buy them for coupons.
Fact noted, I will be checking the paper for the GOOD coupn inserts before I let that lil door close 😉 But I am definitely checking into subscribing. Last time we got a great deal $11.95 for 3 months and I got a $10 Food Lion gift card, YAY!
Hi Cindy, KMart doesn’t do overage on their double coupons. So for your J&J items, if they were $3.50 then a $2 coupon should take off a total of $3.50, making the item free. The registers should do this automatically. Sounds like maybe you were expecting a .50 overage on each to carry over to your other items? This usually happens at other stores, but not KMart doubles. Hope that helps!
5 coupons is a bummer! The gillette mens body wash is on sale for 4 dollars so after the $2.00 off coupon that should be free! Last time when K-mart did double with this reward card, I took my moms card and they let me use two different transactions. Most the time the cashiers pay no attention to whats really going on. You might be able to score some items if you have a k-mart close. But most of you are right,you are better off shopping at cvs/rite aid/wags where you can always get free stuff!

I just called my local Kmart in Florida and the store is on the list. She said that they would not be participating and was rude. I don’t like Kmart personally its dirty and they never keep things organized. So I won’t be participating in this event. Bummer cause I wanted to get some things I needed but not worth the fight,,,
Ok so here’s a question, how does a BOGO coupon double? Buy One Get two???
last time you would could use a bogo coupon and get both items free, if the item was under $2. ie: can of dog food 1.50, had bogo Q for the dog food which doubled to $3 so both items free.
So…if the item is under $2 like a candy bar and I had a bogo coupon, I would get both free?
What about this: Head & Shoulders is on sale 2/$9 and I have a bogo coupon. What happens then?
Kmart is doubling only up to $2. Some stores are also not doubling BOGO coupons. If they do double BOGO, in your scenario it will Not double. The sale is 2/$9 which makes your coupon value $4.50. If your items is $2 or less, than theoretically a BOGO coupon would double.
I went to our store in Western Ky last night to conduct my doubles “experiment”. The girl at the CS desk was very nice when I asked if they were participating and explained all the rules to me (which I already knew…LOL). Used some different coupons to see how it would work; the free item coupons didn’t double to make 2 free items, but the BOGO coupons did double to make 2 free item. Yeah for free cat food and candy bars! Also, St. Ives facial scrubs (which I use every day) are on a price reduction to $3.32 and there were $1.50 coupons in the 3/21 Smart Source insert which doubled, making it 32 cents each before tax. Also, when I looked at the tax amounts on my receipt I noticed that since the doubled part comes off as a store coupon there is no tax on that amount. So, in essence a $2.00 coupon takes off $4.12 (12 cents tax on the $2.00 store coupon part). Hubby & I both have cards, as well as my mother and Kmart is not really out of my way so I’m hoping to snag some good deals this week!
And I’m definitely going to get more Kellogg’s cereal with those great coupons from last week’s paper and get the free milk catalinas.
Our Kmart is pretty nice, not dirty or underlit or whatever, and they have great clearance sales.
My area is participating in doubles! And really I’m sick of Kmart’s crap so I think I will boycott them for awhile. I’d rather shop at Target or Rite Aid.

Denise it does not mean they aren’t…. Most of the time they know nothing of it until the event. I would not give up hope . I am going simply to score so me cheap cat litter! I have been saving my $2 off tidy cat peelies that I got when I bought cat litter at Petsmart just in case Kmart had doubles, and now here it is . Only problem is that they never have many and they usually sell out fast so I guess I will be heading over tomorrow morning. I was hoping to find more posts of great deals here in the comment section.. am a little disappointed and if it weren’t for the cat litter I would most likely not go. Especially after having come off such a monsterous week at WAGS this week. 🙂
I’m so not excited about Kmart. I tried to cash in on their sale about a month ago. It was buy $30 worth of P & G products and get $10 to use on your next visit. Well, I did and NO catalina. I sent Kmart Corp. an email asking them why. Well, I got an answer from the manager of the store that I visited stating that the $10 catalina would print only if the total after all discounts (meaning coupons) was $30 or over! The ad was deceptive to me. If you shopped anywhere else, the total of the purchase would be before coupons! Anyways, don’t know if I really want the hassle of searching all thru the store for a deal. They are generally out of everything you want past Sunday. Wishing good luck to all who try!
If you look closely at the sign in front of the products (IE, Quilted Northern, Dixie, etc), it does state that it has to total $30 before taxes AND after all coupons. They wrote it really small, but it was there.
Not worth the drive for me to use 5 coupons–thumbs down Kmart. Plus I’m sick of all the bait and switching with promotions….Done with kmart.
