I like the highlighting in red! Helps me pick out some of the best deals when there are so many!

  2. Rhonda W.

    YAY

  3. Jennifer Spangle

I like the deals hilighted in red it really helps me figure out the the must buys from the things that maybe can wait. You are awesome Collin. From one NC girl to another thanks for all you do.

  4. Jennifer D

On the Pullups deal, you can use the $3.00 Huggies diaper product coupons instead of just using the $2.00 off Pullups coupon, so you can actually get them for $3.99!!!

  5. Collin (Mrs. Hip)

Quick question… when you use a bogo Free Q with a BOGO 50%… do they take off the lower price or the full priced one?? They always want to take off the lower one (the one that rings in as 50% off)… is there a rule to this?

  6. kelly

i am so excited for the bayer deal–i dont even have any manny coupons…but ive seen on wildforwags.com that the low dose is $2.99 at her store….so free with the inad coupon, and you get a $3RR….yea! I hope it works out for me and that they arent all gone by the time I get over there.

  7. Jean

Hi Collin, I like adding the special deals in red. Is there anyway to print out your posts? I like to take them with me to the store. Saves so much time rather than handwriting them. Thanks.

    • Sadie

I copy and paste them into a word document and then I can delete the ones I don’t need. Then the page is easy to print.

    • Debbie

I copy them and paste them to a word processor document and delete the items i’m not going to buy and then print them out. That way i only have a list of what i want and don’t waste paper and ink

    • blizzard

I only copy/paste the deals I want into a word processor document, then print.

    • dani

idea: just copy the text and/or sales that interest you from collin’s post then paste it to a word document. then print the word document.

      • Kate

This is exactly what I do. But, it would be nice if there was some way to make a list right from the site and then print it. Even if that’s not possible, Hip2Save still rocks!

        • Andrea

That would be really nice. I’ve seen this available on other blogs

    • Sadie

Did anyone mention copying and pasting the text?

    • Jean

Thanks so much everyone. I will try the copy/paste things. Then I can delete the items I’m not interested in purchasing. I say couponers (I say that this should be a word) rock and are the nicest people there are. thanks again.

  8. Heather

    LOVE the different colors-great idea!

  9. Stephanie

If you use the Monthly coupon booklet for the pull-ups will it take $2 off for every package or do I need to make separate purchases? My Walgreen’s won’t let me use the $3 off Huggies coupon, bummer.

    • Collin (Mrs. Hip)

yes, it would be $2 off each package… you only need one Q and it will take off all that you buy.

  10. maureen

THanks for highlighting the great deals in red!!!!

  11. Kate

Collin, thanks so much for everything that you do – I heart Hip2Save! And yes, highlighting your favorite deals in red is an awesome idea – it really helps me figure out what is an ok deal vs. an incredible deal.

  12. Janelle

    love the highlighting! Thanks!

  13. Brandi

Does anyone know if you can use more than one rr for an order? Example: Say your total is $6.00 can you use a 2.50 rr and a 3rr?

    • SassyMom

Yes you can as long as you have an equal amount of items as coupons…(example… if you buy 4 boxes of kleenex and have two manufacture coupons for 50 cents off, then you can only use two register rewards, because it’s considered a manufacturer coupon also.) Hope that helps, Happy couponing!

      • Brandi

        Thanks that answered my question!

    • Sadie

Just be careful, RR do not cover tax.

  14. Emily

Thanks for putting the best deals in red!!

  15. SassyMom

I wanted to stress a point about the hershey’s candy and movie tickets, it says on the rebate form that it must be one of the following; york patties, reeses minature, hershey’s minatures and chocolate kisses… So I don’t think the above scenario will work! Just thought I’d point that out!

    • collin

      Hi SassyMom-

I deleted the Hershey’s Movie Ticket offer from this deal scenario due to the fact that you have to purchase bags that are 10 oz. or larger to qualify for the free movie ticket. Thanks for bringing this to my attention!

  16. Olivia Smith

Thanks for all you do! I am so excited to get the papers tomorrow and go shopping! 🙂

  17. Whitney

    Love the highlighting! Thanks, Collin!!

  18. Kate

I had another thought abt the highlighting – any chance you would consider using yellow for the rock-bottom, stock-up sales?

    • Elizabeth

I think yellow would be hard to see against the white background. But another color for those situations is a great idea!

    • Craig

Thats what the red is for silly.

  19. Sabine

I think the Hershey deal requires 10 oz bags.

  20. Pam

The Scotch Brite coupon is for $1.00 off of 2 products. How are you using two of these coupons in the transaction?

    • Mandy Arnold

They were $1 off at first. They have changed the coupon. That coupon is no longer available.

  21. Sam

Collin ~~ Warning!!!!!!!!! Was told by a manager that if I bought the 2 Tylenol/Sudefed products and use my $5/2 manufacturers coupon then the registrar would not print out my $5 reward back coupon. I could only use the manufacturers coupon & get no register coupon on my next order OR no manufacturers coupon and get the registers. What a rip off. Please warn customers of this!

      • Craig

        Good to know.

    • christine

i didn’t know there would be a problem when i used my $5/2 MQ and indeed my RR didn’t print, but the manager gave me a form to fill out & send in my receipt, so we’ll see what happens. there doesn’t seem to be a legitimate answer for me as a customer as to why that deal didn’t work…i read the hotcouponworld explanation, but that sounds like a walgreens glitch, not something the customer should suffer for.

  22. Bethany

I LOVE the red highlights! The great deals really pop out. Thank you.

  23. Lisa

Here’s my plan for Wags this week…

    TRANS#1
    2 bayers at $2.99 each, -1 mfc for $1.00 (that’s all I have), -$6 off with Wags coupon: $-1.00
    nature’s bounty vitamins at $5.00, -1 mfc for $2.00: $3.00
    u by kotex at $3.49, -1mfc for $1.00: $2.50
1 filler item (like a cadbury creme egg for .12, yum)
TOTAL=$4.62, -$1.00RR from last week, -$3.00RR from last week
    3mfc+2RR for $4.00 (I have these leftover from last week)=5 items (there’s 2 bayers)
    OOP: $.62
Gives $3.00RR from Bayer, $5.00RR from Vitamins, $2.50RR from u by kotex

    TRANS#2
Sunday paper at $3.00, -$2.50RR from the u by kotex. I love to buy my sunday papers with register rewards!
    OOP: $.50

Go to the car and cut out my coupons for the BIC razors and another u by kotex coupon

    TRANS#3
    u by kotex at $3.49, -1mfc for $1.00: $2.49
BIC razors at $4,99, -1mfc for $3.00 from the paper, -$1 wags coupon: $.99
    applesauce: $1.99
    TOTAL=$5.50, -$5.00RR from the vitamins
    2mfc + 1RR=3 items
    OOP: $.50
Gives $2.50RR from u by kotex

    TRANS#4
    2 nature’s bounty vitamins at $5.00, 2 mfc for $2.00: $6.00
2 filler items (2 cadbury creme egg at .12=.24)
TOTAL=$6.24, minus $3.00RR from the Bayer, minus $2.50 from the u by kotex
    2mfc+2RR=4 items
    OOP: $.74
    gives two $5.00RR’s

All told I spent $2.36 OOP (this would be $6.36 if you didn’t have any RR to start with) and have $10.00 leftover in Register Rewards for whatever!!!

Hope this helps some of y’all with your planning!

    • Andrea

Thanks! I may just do this. Love the idea of buying the paper with the RRs.

      • Lisa

You’re welcome! The Sunday paper is a great filler item because it never comes with its own manufacturer’s coupon. It just gives you a bunch. Kind of ironic 😉

    • Betsy

I didn’t know you could get more than 1 RR for the same product in one transaction.

    • Leandra

      Great job!!

I had 3 $5 RR from the biore deal last week, so I was able to use my 3 $5 RR for 3 Natures Bounty vitamens, getting back 3 more $5 (awesome because you get the free product and extend the expiration on the RR!) So that I could also use the $2 manuf. coup., my filler item was my husband’s fave hair gel on sale for $2.99 this week. So I paid .99 out of pocket for the hair gel and vitamens AND got $5 RR back (did this three times).

I used the $2.50 RR from the U Kotex to buy a gallon on milk, which was $2.69… which I would have bought at the grocery anways, so free milk or free tampons… it worked great!

I ended up spending $6 out of pocket, got $15 back in RR and got: 3 vitamens, 2 hair gels, 1 tampons, 1 gallon of milk.

Oh yeah, and my Wags only has the standard Colgate total for 2.99 with the $2RR, not the Max White like the list says. I am going to go back for this with another coup.

This was a great week at wags!! 🙂

  24. Me

Your last transaction – you won’t get 2 RRs – if you buy the 2 Natures Bounty’s together you will only get one RR.

    • Lisa

Oh right, I forgot. Well that last transaction will easily break down into two transactions then. What’s nice is you can use the RR’s from the other RR deals (the bayer and the kotex) cuz you can’t use the same RR for the same product…

  25. sadina

The Bayer in ad q beeps it is not supposed to work on the 2.99 product….that is a mistake and i don’t think people will be able to count on that scenario.

  26. Jen

Love the highlight in red for the best deals! Love your site, too!

  27. topchief2

FYI!! Like Sadina said, I’ve heard reports that the Bayer IVC is not working with the $3 Bayer products, so be careful!

  28. Collin (Mrs. Hip)

Just tried it, the Bayer coupon beeps!!! I even tried the boxes that were priced at $3.29 and it beeped. I think it’s meant for the nigher count boxes even if the coupon does not state that.

The bayer coupon beeps, but I had managers come over and price adjust the Bayer down to 0, and the RR still printed. The second place I went to the manager did it but wasn’t too happy and said she’d have to go email corp. right away. 🙁

    • Jill

I meant to say the managers did it, not that I had them come over to do it! 🙂

I like having you highlight items in RED!

  31. Christy

Thank you for putting the best deals in red … that’s very helpful since I never have time to read all of the deals. Now I can simply scan to the red. Thanks! 🙂

For the Nature’s Bounty deal if you go on their website and enter enough codes from bottles to get to 500 pts you can get a $5 off any product coupon. It will let you print 4 of them. I went this morning and got my Nature’s bounty for .05 and got a $5 RR!! Woohoo!

Thanks for all you do Collin!!

    • Betsy

How many bottles will does it take to get the $5 coupon? Maybe I can do that after I go trade in my $3 RR for $5 ones using $2/1 coupons on Nature’s Bounty. That would be pretty awesome. You know, they are saying most people are in great need of more vitamin D!

      • Collin (Mrs. Hip)

each bottle of D is worth 25 points……20 bottles later an you will have 500pts.

  33. Denise

Hi all – just got back from Walgreens – the RR are now printing out as Manufacturer coupons, we all know what that means, no stacking. I argued with the guy for 5 minutes to no avail. Just wanted to let you know. Happy couponing!!

    • what's the deal

My RRs today were all just as normal as always and I used some of them just as I always do and I had no problems.

    • Betsy

that is why you need to have a “filler” item. Did you use Man. couons for each item in your transaction? If so, you need to add an inexpensive item or something that you really need for the pantry!

    • FIFSTER

RR’s have always been manufactures coupons. They are WAGS manufactured coupons, and you can use them with ANY filler item or item without a coupon. Thats why Collin says to add a filler item to use multiple RR’s.

  34. Sandy

20 transactions, $7.32 OOP, started with $15 in RR and ended with $56.00

    15 bottles of Vitamin D
6 packages of pistachios (clearanced out at $1.09 from $3.99)
4 individual Velveeta mac n’ cheese cups
    2 boxes of Benadryl
    4 canisters of Folgers coffee
    1 Kotex tampon
    8 Reynold’s wrap foil
2 Russell Stover’s chocolate Easter Bunnies (75% off)

    I’m happy!

    • Cassie

      More information please!

You can print $5, $3 and $2 coupons for Nature’s Bounty vitmains at their website. I had eight $5 coupons, six $3 coupons and one $2 coupon. The 1000mg vitamin D is on sale this week for $5 with a $5 Register Reward. Buy a bottle, use a $5 coupon, pay tax and get back a $5Register Reward…$5 Money Maker! Then be sure to enter the codes off the bottles you purchase to accrue more points for additional coupons in the future.

There is a $1 coupon for the Kotex in today’s paper. It is on sale this week for $3.49 with a $2.50 Register Reward. Buy 1, use the $1 coupon, pay $2.49 plus tax and get back a $2.50 Register Reward.

The Russell Stover chocolate Easter Bunnies were originally $5.49 and I got them for $.1.45 each. I used the $2.50 Register Reward I earned from the Kotex deal and paid .40 OOP.

Folger’s coffee was 2/$5 with a $1 Register Reward back. I used a $5 Register Reward I earned from the Nature’s Bounty deal to pay for it and then got back $1 Register Reward.

The pistachios were on clearance for $1.09 from $3.99. I found them in the snack section rather than the grocery section. I had $3 Register Rewards from last weeks’ Schick shaving cream deal and I had $3 Nature’s Bounty coupons so, I bought 1 bag of pistachios and 1 Nature’s Bounty Vitamin D, used a $3 coupon for the vitamin and the $3 Register Reward I earned from the Shick, paid .37 and got back $5.

Velvetta Mac N’ Cheese cups are $1.29 or $3/3. I bought 4, used 2 BOGO q’s, paid $2.00 and got back $1.50 Register Reward.

  35. fuzzymitten

I bought the Aveeno Active Naturals lotion for $3.39 each. $2.54 with 25% off. It’s more in N.CA. I used one $1.00 RR and there is a $2.00 q in the travel bag. Not too bad.

  36. Lisa

I started with $4 in RR, had 6 transactions and spent $3.87 OOP. I got 3 of the vitamins, 2 kotex, 1 Sunday newspaper, 1 Glad cling wrap, 1 Schick Hydro razor, and 4 inexpensive filler items. Plus I have $10 in RR left over! It is a great week at Wags!

I also just want to remind everyone about the schick hydro razor deal since there isn’t much talk about it here…if you get the schick hydro razor replacement cartridges you get a $3RR, and if you get the schick hydro razor you get a $5RR. The razor cost $8, but I was able to use a “$3 off any schick disposable razor” coupon (sorry I don’t remember where this is from). Then I got a $5RR which was nice cause I could then use that to get more vitamins. (Since you can’t use the vitamin RR to get more vitamins…that would be like coupon cannibalism…hehe)

I didn’t have any luck getting the bayer pushed through. That was my first transaction attempt early in the morning. It beeped and the lady said, sorry I can’t push it through, and the manager’s not in yet 🙁

Two stores near to me in the Dallas area were already out of vitamins by mid-afternoon, one was out of the bayer, and another was out of the glad cling-wrap. With their being such hot deals this week I’m not surprised!

I love the idea of u posting the great deals in red. I just started couponing about 2 months ago and i love saving money. I print all of ur deals from Walgreens, Target and Cvs weekly then i highlight the things i want and have a coupon for. That way i know which are the good deals and one’s i need. Thanks so much to all of u for all of ur tips and help. Thanks so much !!!!

  38. Amanda

    Thanks Collin,

I just cleaned my Walgreens out of the four packages they had left on Pull ups. I only had to make one trip due to great friends! $4.99+tax is great for Pull Ups. Planning on stopping in all week and stocking up!

  39. Heidi

When I signed up for the Nature’s Bounty rewards program, it let me print the intro $2 coupon 4 times! I stopped there because I don’t think I can use or give away that much vitamin D, so I’m not sure when it would have stopped me, but… Nice!

  40. Nicole O

I had a problem with my recent trip to Walgreens. I went in to purchase the Tylenol & Sudafed that was on sale for 4.99 each, with $5 RR, I used my $5 off coupon for purchasing two select cold medicines. When I checked out I didn’t receive my RR, I asked the cashier who called over a manager and he told me it was because I bought the items with a coupon……. I didn’t have time to sit and argue with him (had my 3yr old w/ me) so when I got home I called Walgreens and the lady at the customer service told me that RR weren’t available if you purchased the items with a coupon, she said it’s just the way the computer it set up! Wondering if anyone else has had this happen??

    • Sadie

This deal didn’t work because the RR had the same UPC that the coupon did. So when they scanned the coupon, the computer thought it was a RR and didn’t print another one. This usually doesn’t happen. And it wasn’t something you would have known.

    • christine

it also happened to me and my manager gave me a form to fill out & send in along with my receipt…we’ll see what happens.

  41. Mama Bear

The Nature’s Bounty vitamin D-1000IU was $9 at my store. 🙁 I also bought cereal that wasn’t included in the sale by accident. This was my first trip without kids and I still wasn’t focused I guess. LOL

    • Sandy

You needed to buy the bonus 120 ct. bottles

    • janine

same as at my store they did not have their usual red-colored RR tags on the shelf but I had it priced checked..and i was indeed $5 🙂 and a 5 RR came out.

  42. Mama Bear

I don’t think that they had those, but I will look again when I go. Thank you!

  43. Shelly T.

Heads up on a couple of clearance deals I found tonight. My WAGS had 6 count BIG rolls Charmain toilet paper on clearance for $3.99, and I had a $1.00 off coupon, so $2.99.They had both the Ultra Soft or the Ultra Strong type on clearance. I also found 2 packs of Walgreens brand 23/100 watt CFL bulbs for $1.49!

  44. Amy

i bought the velveeta shell cups and did not get an rr 🙁

    • Randi

me neither. I had them return them. oh well…

  45. blizzard

My head is spinning with the $ I saved yesterday! Thank you Colin!! I still consider myself a rookie when it come to Wags couponing, but I spent $48 oop (all stuff I would buy anyway) and saved $140….I feel faint! Plus I like to use up all my RR the same day so I got $140 of FREE stuff like diapers and dish detergent. I’d also like to note that I didn’t empty the store so there WOULD have been enough for others had someone not already cleared out my two stores…before noon yesterday/Sunday! :0 Big hug to Colin for making it all possible!

  46. Sara

Collin–thank you so much for taking the time to highlight the top deals. I know you do so much already, but it really is a huge help!! YOU ARE AMAZING!!!

  47. dawn

Is the velveeta cups with $1.50RR an unadvertised deal? I am not seeing it in the ad anywhere?

  48. KRR

I think the Velveeta RR ended on 4/18. I was bummed, because when I went in today, I noticed there are LOTS of Velveeta shells cups in another section of the store, but there was only 1 left in the grocery section – so I missed out on the deal because I only looked in the grocery section last week. Bummer!

  49. esther

yea i went to walgreens to get the velveeta cups…no RR came out either…=(
