This doesn’t seem to be a very good Walgreens week. The last two weeks I have gone and gotten some good deals, but I don’t really see anything worth going for this time. Oh well every week can’t be great. This gives me a chance to save my $ for better deals later. : )

  2. Kendra B

I agree. I skipped last week so I gotta use my RR this week. Looks like lots of razors and shaving cream.

    • bfam

I’m with you – skipped this current week because there wasn’t that much out there for me, now next week isn’t that great. Razors and shaving cream for me, too!

      • anu1c

I know this week is terrible, and I didnt go this past week because there wasnt much, and I have over 30 RR to spend, all that overage with the razor deals last week, and overage with the stayfree. Now I just have to use it up, and not much to roll over 🙁 Unless someone can think of something creative to do with the RR’s. I wish it was like CVS and they last for a month.

        • charolyn

When I need to use up RR’s I develop pictures! Always something I need, and they frequently have great prices. This week-when you order online they are 30 prints for $3-there will be a code to enter. You can do multiple-usually 5-orders during the special. Haven’t seen the store ad yet, sometimes they have the same price to do it there also. They also store your pictures on-line for free (I think you only have to order a few times a year to keep it)-I have been using them for years & am very satisfied.

        • Karen

I have been able to use mine for gift cards to Lowe’s, Subway, Foot Locker, etc. You have to purchase other items to meet the coupon to item ratio.

          • Collin (Mrs. Hip)

That’s interesting – my RR say they exclude prescriptions, tabacco, alcoholic beverages, sales tax, lottery tickets, money orders/transfers, transportation passes, postage stamps, dairy, savings club membership, health care services and gift/phone/prepaid cards.
I would love to use them on gift cards and prepaid phone minutes cards.

        • Sandra

Check with your local grocery store. Some Albertson’s chains will take any RR coupons from other stores as long as it says “Manufacturer’s Coupon” on it. 🙂 So then you can at least use them up for some groceries or something you really want.

    • Angie

I have $4 in RR that expire this week I believe so I guess I will have to get something. Maybe instead of using it for a deal I will use it for something we need like bread or dishwasher soap.

      • Cheryl

Hey , I have found a great way to get several deals with the same money. It may not work for you but I have found it fun to get as many deals as possible Heres what I”m doing this week at Walgreens Take the $5.00 coupon in the sunday paper buy schick hydro ($3.00) $5.oo RR buyEOS Ultra shave cream 2 Palmolive dish soap get $2.99 RR buy 2-$3. skippy or Ragu ALL FOR A LITTLE OVER $3.oo Xtax of course CVS- Buy crest Pro health toothpaste or rinse YOU pay $3.5o get it back(i love it) with that buy right guard $2.99 get $2.oo back spend anyway you want (I,”m buying the ajax thats on sale} GREAT DEALS JUST ABOUT EVERY WEEK

    • Angie

I have $4 in RR that expire this week. I will probably use it for something we need like bread or dishwasher soap since I don’t really see any deals I want to do.

      • Jennifer

When I have RRs to spend on a week where there isn’t anything great that I need I use it to buy items like toilet paper, paper towels, etc. Saves us on things that we need for sure! There is a cottonelle deal in the May coupon book and you can pair with a manufacturer coupon. Just a thought!

  3. Collin (Mrs. Hip)

I have to agree that Walgreens does have some really good weeks. But due to the fact the RR expire in a 2 week time period it doesn’t give me enough time to roll the really good deals. I am usually forced into finding something to buy before it expires.

  4. april

I always buy my Sunday papers w/my RR…even thought I do not shop @ Wags a lot

    • wab2327

I LOVE this idea!!! Never had thought of that before 🙂

      • Collin (Mrs. Hip)

Instead of buying worthless fillers I use the papers as fillers.

  5. Collin (Mrs. Hip)

Oh my gosh – is i Saturday again – I still haven’t cut my last Sundays coupons or done any shopping, except Grocery shopping – 🙂

  6. CJ

The .50 printable for Cottonelle wipes is for .50/2 so you would have to buy 2 of the 42 ct tubs, $1.74 each after coupon.

  7. Mitchell Wischmann

How do the Kotex come out to be $0.50 each?

    2/$6
    -$2 RR
    -$1.50/2 coupon
    Final cost: $1.25 each

    • Collin (Mrs. Hip)

$1.50 is what Collin has listed not $.50.

      • Collin (Mrs. Hip)

        $1.25 not $1.50

  8. michelle

I agree this week isn’t great. I actually thought that about last week, and then did great after getting gillette body wash for men for .67 each. I used two bygo and a $4 cpn after reading this on this site. I have never used a cpn with a bygo, as I always thought the cpn for the bygo was one cpn for two items. The cpn was for $4 for buying two body washes. Does that make sense. I also got some nivea lip deals and then Covergirl mascara for .75 each after 75% clearence and a $2.50 coupon. I have never used CG for mascara but what I’m learning about couponing is to not be brand loyal. It seems to work fine . Who knew. I also had some rr’s that were going to expire and it was maddening trying to find something in Wags that isn’t overpriced if you didn’t have cpns or deals. I ended up buying M&M’s because I had a cpn for buy two get one free and there was a .50 rr on one. I thought maybe I would get all three and with one free would be an ok deal. Too bad only one rr printed (I should have known that) I could have gotten the larger bags and paid around .40 cents more for one pound more for the same price, as what I paid. I still did ok and didn’t have alot of oop for what I bought last week with rr’s. Thanks for listening to me ramble. 🙂

  9. what's the deal

I ‘turned’ all my RRs so that I now have 2 weeks again. I did the Nivea body washes – they cost oop 4.77 and I used RRs to pay, then got back $5.00. I also did the Soft Soap body washes – oop on those was 2.24 and received back 2.00. I’ll use the bodywash in gift baskets. This way all my RRs are now good for 2 weeks again (I did most of these transactions today) so I can skip a week if needed.

  10. Leyla

Just got back from Walgreens and according to the cashier/manager, they no longer take internet printable coupons. I am going to email corporate because this can’t be true.

    • Angie

I hope that’s not true! I just used some internet coupons at my Walgreens on Friday and they took them fine. The stores are being so picky since there is so many fraudulent coupons lately. I wish there was a reliable way for the stores to tell if a coupon was good without punishing us all! I live in a very small town and get most of my coupons from the internet so if I can’t use them anymore, it will be very hard for me to keep couponing. : (

    • Jen_A

I used internet printed coupons at my Walgreens this morning without any problems.

    • Allison

that happened to me last week at CVS and I called corporate (i know this happened to you at a wags) and they said that if a store is not going to accept internet coupons they are required to post on the front door. they also told me that a lot of local managers find a fraudulent coupon and then shut everything down which is not corporate policy. they said sometimes if the police are investigating they are required to stop accepting internet coupons until the issue has been resolved but again they must post on the door. last they told me that they should at least scan in the coupon and see if it beeps before telling you they cannot accept it and that they are usually more leary of the free coupons then cents/dollars off ones. SO – call wags corporate and ask them. The CVS rep actually took down the name of the manager of the store I was at looked up the number while i was on the phone and told me she was going to call her direct after our phone conversation.

    • Collin (Mrs. Hip)

You know you can print internet coupons off of their website? WAGS has coupons.com/bricks coupons linked to their site and you can print WAGS coupons from their site too – that tells me that they absolutely take internet coupons.

  11. Kari C

FYI … There is a B1G1 free coupon on soft scrubs website. you have to enter your email, verify, and them click on exclusive …. something …. Softscrubs are B1G1 at Walgreens this week 😉

    • Angie

      Thanks!~

    • lucy

I filled out the form and got the coupon – but it was for $1 off, not the BOGO deal!

  12. Cindy

Anyone else having trouble viewing the Olay $20 rebate? I can’t get it to pull up.

  13. Collin (Mrs. Hip)

Buy 2 Kotex or Poise Pantiliners at 2/$6 = $2 RR
Use the $1.50/2 Kotex coupon from the 4/18 SS
    Final Cost $1.25 each!

Did anybody else have trouble with this deal?

  14. Samantha

On the Carefree deal: how does it work if an item is Buy One, Get One 50% off and you use a BOGO coupon? Isn’t the free item still the lowest priced ( 50% off ) item? So not necessarily part of the “deal” that the store has it on sale?

Also, are the Axe Detailer tools part of the Axe/Redbox deal? I have my “clean your balls” coupon where I can get one for free. =)

    • Lisa

At our Wags, when you use a B1G1 Q along with a store B1G1 50%, it takes off the full price of one, AND 50% of one. So, you are basically getting 2 products for the half price of one.

      • Samantha

Thanks, Lisa. I just always “assumed” that when using a BOGO coupon they would just take off the product that was already half off. I’ll have to give it a shot! =D

  15. Tiffany

I have an even better deal for the Soft Scrub, their website has bogof coup. it let me print two. got 4 bottles for .54 (tax)!!!

  16. Erica

I love the deals at Wags but I have a problem that none of the stores in my area have the sale products EVER! Does anyone else have this prolem?

    • sandiemamma

I live in Newberg, OR and they are always out! I come back in when their shipment comes in and they still did not get any in. But when I read in the blogs that someone has 30 RR to roll from a particular deal it’s no wonder they are all out. Share people – we learned that in Kindegarten!!!! Do you really need 30?

      • Nancy J

I hear that! It’s called HOARDING!! hahaha, and now they have a reality show based on it.

      • Jennifer

My MIL works at Wags. She has said that sometimes they don’t even get the stuff in at all for the weekly ad.

      • anu1c

Ok lets add up the math here. I said I have 30 RR to roll, I didnt say I bought 30 razors or something. Couple of weeks ago there was that deal advertised buying the razor and you got a $3 and $1 RR, and stayfree pads got 3RR back (overage if you used the $2Q), and the plackers were free that week as well giving you 2RR. Oh and that week I also bought 8 hallmark cards, and got back 5RR.

Since I get only 4 inserts per week, (hence only FOUR coupons for the razor) this is what I got.

        4 razors, (and I would not consider this HOARDING, since there were like 20 more there), and got back $3 RR * 4 = 12 + $1RR * 4 = 4
        Total for this 16 RR

        4 stayfree pads * 3RR = 12 RR

I only got 2 plackers pack (and they had a bin full at the wags I went to) 2 * 2RR = 4RR

and then my 5RR from Hallmark, but I used my RR from the razor deal to get the cards.

Anyways, lets add all this up ladies, easily around 30 RR, and NOT HOARDING at all. HOARDING would be if I bought like 30 of the same items. Couple of weeks ago it was a good week at WAGS to get some overage on the RR’s. Grow up people. Just complaining because you could not get the deals, and assume because I have 30RR’s that I bought all the razors off the shelves.

    • Alexis

I have this problem too! I was all jazzed to go and buy the eos shaving cream and then turn around and use the RR to buy two newspapers, but my Wags doesn’t carry it. Honestly, I don’t even think they have the U by Kotex stuff either–and that’s been out for weeks. And I live in a city, so it’s not like I’m looking at some small town Walgreens 🙁

      • Samantha

I had a lot of trouble finding the U by Kotex and it wasn’t on the regular shelves, just on a little endcap and now they have a stand alone display.

  17. Angelique

The(nature bounty) papaya enzyme is not sold in stores.

  18. Barbara

I went directly to The nature bounty’s website and signed up and got a $2 coupon and then went to red plum for another $1. THEN the BOGO at Walgreens!

  24. Laura

Did anyone notice that the Centrum Ultra deal listed for this week, the coupon isn’t in 4/25RP or SS 4/25 for $3 off each. I was gonna run to get that deal. There are high value Your Life and Flexamin mc’s in 4/25 RP. There is a more current coupon for the Centrum Ultra but it is 3 off the purchase of 2.
