Redbox Giveaway = FREE Rental + More Prizes!
Can you believe Redbox just hit one billion rentals?! To celebrate this achievement, Redbox has announced they are having a Thanks a Billion Giveaway! Through September 30th, everyone can win a FREE movie rental! Plus, you can enter to win 1 of 50 $500 gift cards or the grand prize (either a trip for two to the 2011 People’s Choice Awards or a Sony Home Theatre Package)!
Here’s what you need to do to enter…
*Using your Redbox movie rental, enter your DVD code to snag your FREE movie night (the DVD code is the 9 digits on the inside rim of any redbox rental disc). * To snag a $500 gift card, you will need to search for a Golden Code. A Golden Code is one of 50 DVD codes placed on random redbox DVDs across America. Follow Redbox on Facebook and Twitter to get the latest clues, and click on any Golden Code icon on the map to see if there’s a clue for a location by you.

AWESOME
I just got a free red box movie rental code by text, so this is awesome!
Not sure why but when I enter the codes you posted it says its invalid and not to type any spaces…which I didn’t. I love the redbox and movies for $1 or better yet free.
Jen, the codes at the bottom are to be used at the rental box to get free rentals, not for the contest.
The codes above have been around for awhile, so I’m sure a lot of people have used them already (I know I have). So my guess is they won’t work for a lot of people
I wish I knew about this yesterday. I took back 2 movies. I just got another movie today and won a free movie rental:)
I’m going to enter the code on my FREE Netflix rental I got for buying 4 2-liters of Pepsi at Walgreens yesterday. Thanks for everything Collin!
Did your Netflix code work for the Redbox contest?
Oops, I meant my Redbox code!!
there is also an iphone app called inside redbox that has a promo code section. there might be a few more listed there. i did use one two nights ago for a free movie 🙂
Does anyone know if these codes work on BLU-RAY rentals?
it did for me-different code though mine was texted to me from redbox
cool – we rented from netflix last night!
This is cool to see! We just rented 4 redbox movies last night and had planned to go back and rent more today!
where r u guys puttin in the free code
i put the codes in my phone and then you put them in the machine at the store…rent with free code box.
ok so if u reserve online then u cant use code
I’ve heard of netflix before, but not redbox sounds like I need to check it out.
redbox is better to me bc of alot of the free codes you get. You get one via text the first monday of the month. If your town is like mine redboxes are popping up everywhere. Winn dixies, mcdonalds, walmart, sonics. plus when a new release is about to come out you can go online and reserve at your location that you rent from
Netflix is AMAZING! Especially if you like instant content!!! If you have a high speed internet connection and a blu ray player, Wii, PS3, internet enabled HDTV, or Apple TV you can stream MANY tv shows and movies. ( Not new releases but some recent movies like The Proposal) You watch them straight from your tv and have new releases automatically sent to you!
Distribution centers are usually close, if we send back a movie on Monday, we will have our next movie by Wednesday, but we can watch unlimited shows and movies through the TV anytime.
Netflix sucks-we just canceled our subscription…had it a few years back and it was the same thing this time: at first your movies are there right away, top of your Q. Then after your trial period, it takes 3 days, and they send movies from the middle to bottom of your Q. Also, Netflix has a contract with big boy distribution that says they won’t release new movies until 30 days after they come out–not that you could find those new releases to put them in your Q anyways, they never show them if you click “new releases” you have to manually hunt for them. The instant selection is very poor as well. Doing the math, 3 days to get a movie, 1 day to watch, thats not quite 1.5 movies/week, so really only possible to get 5 movies/month @ $10/mo vs. $1/movie at REDBOX, and they have free promo codes often-REDBOX is the way to go-not to mention you can watch what you’re in the mood for, not what you were in the mood for 3 days ago!!! (and they have blu-ray for $1.50)
I just used the dvd that I rented for free from the code that was sent to my cell phone to get this new free code …
Thanks for the information, because that is totally cool :- D
i rent from redbox all the time
