Office Depot: $10 off $25 Coupon + Deal Scenario!
UPDATE: I just spoke with Office Depot customer service. Unfortunately, when you use the $10 off coupon, you will get back 100% of the rewards minus the $10 coupon…still a great deal as you will pay less out of pocket just not a moneymaker like I originally thought. Sorry for the confusion.
Yippee! Office Depot just released a new coupon good for $10 off any $25 or more in-store purchase, valid through October 16th. Use this coupon to pay less out of pocket for all the free after reward items that I posted about on Sunday!
Check out the deal scenario below to get ya thinkin’…
Deal Scenario (valid through October 9th):
Buy 2 Energizer Max Alkaline AA & AAA Batteries $7.49 each
Buy 1 Wilson Jones Premium Single-Touch Locking D-Ring View Binders 1 inch $6.99
Buy 1 Tops Docket Perforated Writing Pads 3-PK $4.99
Total = $26.96
Use the $10 off $25 coupon found here
Pay $16.96
Get back $7.49 x 2 in rewards for the batteries, $6.99 for the binder, and $4.99 for the pads minus the $10 coupon
Final Cost FREE!
*There are 10 free after reward items available at Office Depot through October 9th (check out the post here for all the details) so there are many different deal scenarios that you can create with this new coupon. Let us know what great deals you are able to score! Also keep in mind that many Staples stores accept competitor’s coupons so you may be able to score some sweet deals at Staples as well!
(Thanks, Coupon Pro!)
Please note…
WIth OD rewards it does take off the Q price in rewards. You cannot make money, but you will have less OOP.
If you purchase $25 worth of reward goods and use the $10 Q you will only get back $15 in rewards. It is still a good Idea to use the Q because you have less OOP for the purchase.
2 more things about OD rewards….
Rewards come at the end of every quarter.
They do not roll.
I have only done the Office Depot full price rebate once before. So I am not familar with all thier rules. But this coupon says not valid with other offers or promotions.. so I was wondering if you will still get the rebate if you use this coupon. Have you used a coupon on the full price rebate items here before. I know that you can use coupons with rebates have been doing rebates for over 20 yrs.. but since this is a “store” promotion for both the rebate and coupon, I thought they may not pay.
thanks Shawn.. you just answered my question at the same time I was posting.
You can add $10 worth of stuff to your $25 free after rewards items to get $10 worth of extra stuff free. Have them take the $10 coupon off the $10 item you add. The $10 coupon has to come directly off the additional $10 item that you ad, so I usually get something that is $10 or more, for example a $10.29 item, they would ring up as only .29. Then you will get $35 worth of stuff free, instead of just $25. I agree, not a money maker because they only refund the reward amount you actually spend.
Brilliant idea!!! I have always just used the coupon to save OOP, but I used your idea today. I thought about getting some little gadgets that I normally wouldn’t buy, but ended up with some 12 packs of “green” paper towels. I would never pay the 11.99 retail, but after taking the coupon into account, 1.99 is a deal!
Actually, there were 15 rolls in each pack — even better!
does office depot take manufacturer / internet coupons ?
Does this come back as cash? or a gift card?
You get a special rewards card sent to you in the mail with the amount of the reward you earned at the end of each quarter. You can only use it at Office Depot. And you do have to use it by the end of the next quarter. We are a member of this program at work.
I tried this online and it states the code on the coupon is not valid.
the coupon says it’s for in store use only. check retailmenot.com for a $10/$50 that works!
do you do the max rewards online as a purchase or in the store?
With the 3M labels that are $23 and included in the reward deals, there’s also a $10 rebate.

thanks for this one! nice – I already bought this deal this week
Does anyone know or have experience with OD accepting mfr q’s in general ?
I just used 2 printable manf. Q;s for the mountain green K-cups. I asked a sales clerk he checked with the manager they said they would. I suggest you ask in your store. Not sure they have a coupon policy at the office supply stores . But I figured it would not hurt to ask.
coupons.com has the $1 off K-cups
And free coffee K-cups is good to me even if they reduce the rewards less of my $ tied up for months . Now to hope I dont need ink until the rewars come back lol.
Where did you get the printable coupons from? Thank you
Not only does the coupon reduce OOP, but it reduces your sales tax!!!
Has anyone had a problem with OD accepting the coupon with batteries purchase (like from the scenario), since the terms state “not valid for purchases of any technology or consumer electronic products and accessories”? Arguably, batteries are technology and a consumer electronic product and/or accessory. Just didn’t want anyone to be told “no” and was curious if anyone had had any problems before I tried.
I just used the coupon and it took $off my batteries no problem.
I got my reward card for last quater. Can I use it to pay the items that earn 100% reward and the reward will still go to my reward account?
No, you cannot get the rewards if you use a rewards card when making your purchase. Hoping they will change this policy!
Can you please publish a link to the policy that states this? I cannot locate it. Thanks!

The T&C states that you will not earn rewards when paying with a rewards or merchandise card. Assuming the merchandise card would be if you returned something and they gave you a gift card. Does anyone know if you can use a regular old gift card and get the rewards?
Does anyone know if there are restrictions on what you can use your rewards cards to purchase?? I was wondering if I would be able to use it to purchase gift cards (of course if they sell them at OD – haven’t looked yet)! Thanks
Also, if you prefer to shop at Staples or Office Max, check with your local store to see if they accept ‘competitor’ coupons. All of the stores in my area are pretty liberal about accepting each others coupons. 🙂
My Staples takes these without hesitation. I always take OD coupons to Staples because I won’t shop at OD due to horrible customer service issues.
So… if I can’t make it to the OD store this week, can I order stuff online, select “store pickup” so I don’t have to pay shipping, and pick it up next week? I’m guessing the order date counts and not the pickup date, right???
I’ve had a really bad experience with Office Depot. They don’t allow you to use more than one coupon per transaction. I used this same coupon about a month ago, and I had to speak with a manager, because they were selling a Glade Sandwich Bag product that had a coupon on it that said “Save 25 cents now!” But they wouldn’t let me use it with the $10 off $25 coupon. I complained to the manager and wrote the head office about the issue. They shouldn’t sell a product with a coupon, if they wont let you use it! anywho. So don’t expect to use more than one coupon there.
I purchased some of the 100% reward items last week and didn’t get the full credit according to my on-line account. (10% on paper and 1% on storage tote and bankers box). I contacted customer service and I’m waiting to hear back. I was just wondering if anyone else checked their account and had this problem???
I am having trouble getting rewards for myself and my father for a November promotion. They are saying I used a “contract account”, which I don’t know what that is and are refusing to pay any of it.
