I was in my Iowa Target store on Sunday, and there was a Target deal that if you purchased two Tostito chips (qualifying sizes, they were on sale for 2/$5), you got a FREE Tostito salsa or dip. There was a manufacturer coupon on the bags of chips for a FREE two liter of Pepsi product when purchasing two bags of Tostitos chips. To SWEETEN the deal, I used two Target coupons for $1 off baked Frito Lay item (the cashier pushed them through). So, I paid $3 for two bags of chips, a jar of creamy spinach dip, and a two liter of pop!
Tortilla chips don’t qualify as Baked Lays, even though they are technically baked. Baked Lays are the less fat version of Cheetos, Lays, Ruffles, etc. I always cringe when I hear people say, “It wasn’t for the right product, but my cashier pushed it through!”
You’re right, I asked the cashier, she gave me the same response, and accepted the coupon.
Where in Iowa are you from? I’m from Cedar Rapids and would love to know if I can do that too 😀

Cedar Falls store–It was advertised with chips, on sale for $2.50, buy two get a free salsa or dip! The bags of chips then had Qs on them for the free pop! Katie (above) didn’t think using the Target Frito Lay Qs was a legit deal, but I even double checked with the cashier and she said they were “baked”. It’s worth a try! 🙂

I got the Vaseline lotion deal and the Beggin Strips today. There is (or was last night) a $1.00 Target coupon that you can stack with the manufacturer one, making them free (I got 2 bags)! Yay!

Sorry for the confusion. The manufacturer’s coupon I’m referring to is valid for $2 off ANY 2 Seventh Generation products, so you’ll have to stack that with the 2 Target coupons (if your Target allows 2 “like” coupons in the same transaction) to get the final cost of $0.69 each! Hope that helps.

I got 2 bags of beggin strips today.. they were $1.29 each and I used a $1.50/2 man. coupon and the $1.00/1 target coupon and got them both together for 10 cents! :O)

The Sonicare toothbrush is $37.99 at our store in Bend, Oregon, so after coupons and rebate, $7.99! I bought two thinking it would be a great Christmas gift for my son and daughter-in-law. She already has one and he likes his regular toothbrush so I returned them tonight. The cashier told me that $37.99 would be credited back to my card for each of the brushes. I told him that I had used $20 in coupons on each of them though and that I should only get $17.99 back on each. He insisted that Target refunds price before coupons. I am beside myself on that one. They gladly handed over $40 to me tonight. Now that I think about it, they will still get their money from the manufacturer when cashing in the coupons.
I’m glad you were honest with the cashiers. Some people do this regularly and it’s so unethical! Happy to hear you have standards!! =]
I have had a similar thing happen at Wal Mart and Walgreens. They explained that they still get their money from the manufacturer and since they can’t return my coupon to me or NOT get paid by the manufacturer that they refund full price.
I don’t think the Skinny Cow Facebook coupons will work on the cups. I think someone said that they state that they’re not valid on that “size.” Maybe it’d be a YMMV.
The coupon itself says “on any one” Skinny Cow product. That means any size they make qualifies…fortunately. 🙂

I have read my entire coupon, every word in the small print. It doesn’t say anything about not including the cups. So as far as I can see this deal should work!!!
I bought one last night, got it for $.22.
The coupon says “On Any One (1) THE SKINNY COW Product.”
X2! It just says it not for use on the front (web) page NOT on the actual coupon. So its good to go.
The Ponds deal wasn’t happening at my Target, unfortunately.
I couldnt get the Ponds deal either because there were no participating packs in the store but I got the Vaseline deal, practically free because I used a $5 GC from my Glade deal and got a $5 GC to go right back in my wallet! lol One great thing that came out of my shopping trip was a Target coupon that printed for me $5 off my next $50 purchase!

I didn’t see the Sorcerer’s Apprentice for $29.99. The BluRay+DVD = $24.99, and the BluRay+DVD+Digital Copy = $27.99. If I buy the $24.99 pack, will that still qualify for the $10 off if purchased with Fantasia offer?
I don’t know about on the website, but at the store there was signage indicating that both the 2 disc set and 3 disc set of SA were valid for the $10 off WYB with Fantasia promo.

for the ponds and vaseline deal you have to find the exact ones that qualify. I have seen it at 3 targets in the Wichita area and at every one of the stores it was in an endcap display box. Look careful and I bet you will find it.

How does Target work when a coupon is a little over the price of the product? For example the tide travel size for .97 and the coupon for $1. I have the worst luck at Walmart with this and the cashiers never know what to do so I have given up on using them in these cases, but never tried Target with them.
Its in theircoupon policy to adjust the coupon down. make sure to print out a copy just incase they give you grief
They are supposed to adjust the coupon down. However, I have noticed if I have other items I am purchasing and my total doesn’t go below $0 at the end, I actually get the overage from the coupons. I am speaking of manufacturer coupons, I think the store coupons will beep and be adjusted down.
This was my experience today – first time using Target’s coupons. For the two items that I bought for free, instead of adjusting the coupon, they were taken off at the end of the transaction, giving overage. I’ll have to wait and see if this was just a lucky cashier experience or their usual at my new store.
I am happy to report that I made a Target trip yesterday (although I forgot my Vaseline coupons – ugh!) & all my coupons worked like they should! The cashier did have to push a couple through, but they all rang up correctly. This is the first time EVER that all my Q’s rang up the correct amount. Looks like they may have kinda fixed the system.
I have a Target question for Collin (or anyone)! Recently I received a Target ad/catalog in the mail and on it was a peel off coupon which is a FREE $15 gift card w/purchase of $150 or more. I am currently placing an online order at Target’s site, is there a way I can use this coupon? I don’t see any online code on it howevr it has the scannable bar code along with the SKU number (or whatever you call it). Thanks for any info!!!!

Is anyone having problems using more than one like Target coupon for any of these deals? I just want to know before I head out to the store. I’m super new to couponing and don’t want to make a big faux pas or have the register continually beep at me! Do I need to separate transactions if I’m using more than one Target coupon for Degree deodorant or NYC nail polish?

Pretty much went to two targets here in Houston, Tx for the suave $0.97 shampoos & conditionder and both refused to give it to me for free. Most told me that it clearly states on the coupon that it cannot exceed over the limit of the product so even the coupon policy doesn’t overwrite that. So instead of just making it more of a hassle I just bought the larger suaves and still got them for 34cents each.
You can’t submit for the $10 rebate unless you get the Healthy White toothbrush. You can only submit for the $5 rebate. It’s still a good deal though.
Can I just vent on here about Target cashiers that do not understand coupon lingo!! I have had issues lately with coupons that state “limit one coupon per purchase.” As all couponers know, a purchase is an “item” not a “transaction.” Several Target cashiers lately will not budge. I have been made to separate transactions because they will not accept more than one like coupon per item when this statement is on the coupon. Because of this several of our gift card deals will not work. I took this to a Supervisor today who said their manager has told them they can only accept coupons with this statement one per transaction. I showed her an article that clearly states a purchase is an item. Once they have it in their heads they will not budge!! They are wrong! I wonder if there is any way to get some of the companies to change their statement to “one coupon per item?” Would that change anything?? I only have this issue at Target!

For the suave deodorant deal I used one $1/2 target coupon and four .75 cent suave coupons to get four for free.
Target has oreo’s on sale this week for $2.50. There is a $1/2 Target coupon plus the $1 coupon manu. off if you buy cookies and milk (collin posted this coupon today). Hope that makes sense. Thought I’d share.
I tried to purchase the Vaseline today with a $1.50 Target coupon and a $1 manufactuers coupon and the cashier told me after the beep that she would have to dial it down. The price of the vaseline was $3.09. so I wold have still paid $.59! She kept insisting, so I just told her to take it off and I did not purchase it. I am so tired of Target coupons not working and misinformed cashiers tnat I am not going to coupon there any more!
So I just got back and purchased the Sonicare but couldn’t find the coupon on that link provided. I did however “refer a friend” and emailed myself the rebate. The rebate is good for ANY Sonicare toothbrush purchase.

I have a question about the Ponds deal…How do you know if your Target participate in the $5.00 gift card. Is it posted somewhere? Also, I could not find a 40 count for 5.19. I found a 30 count for $4.89. Does your total before coupons have to total $10 or is it just buying 2 ponds products? I would appreciate some Help!!! I am still learning! 🙂
