Wow!!! I got this as a Christmas gift and LOVE it! That’s a great deal!

I bought this same ice cream maker a few weeks ago at this price and we LOVE it! It’s so easy to use and the ice cream comes out great. It comes out more of a soft serve consistancy but if you put it in the freezer for a couple hours after it comes out perfect!

  3. Bethany

I love ice cream so much that is what I named my blog. This is the maker I use and I love it!! In fact it is in the freezer getting ready for another batch right now. The girls requested strawberry; never mind that it is only 28 degrees outside.

It’s never too cold for ice cream!

    What a great deal!!

  5. Heather K.

Thank you!! This is great! My kids are lactose intollerant, but now I can handmake them frozen treats that they can enjoy!! :0)

  6. cyndi

We got this for our kids for Christmas and they love it! It is easy to use and doesn’t take long to make a great batch of yogurt or ice cream!

  7. Jill

I was just curious on how easy it is to make the “cream mixture” that you put into the machine? Does it need a lot of costly ingredients or is the making of the mixture a long process? Anyone feel like helping a potential newbie out and explaining? Thanks!

    • Amanda

The recipes that come with it asks for 2 cups of heavy cream and 1 cup of whole milk, sugar, vanilla. That makes 1/5 quarts of VERY YUMMY ice cream :). HTH!

    • andrea

We have another brand ice cream maker. The ingredients themselves aren’t that expensive—cream, sugar, flavoring, ice cream maker salt—probably if you looked at a natural brand store bought ice cream it would cost less to make it yourself, considering the ingredients are natural and the flavor is outstanding. The only reason we rarely use ours is we don’t often have enough ice for it. It does take quite a bit of ice—at least, ours does.

    • Cara

Jill, you can use cream, half and half, milk, yogurt, or whatever you like or fits your budget. It takes about 40 minutes to mix the ingredients together and process to a soft ice cream consistency (unless you make a cooked custard ice cream, which then needs to cool before freezing). The bowl needs to chill overnight in your freezer before you use it so you do have to plan ahead. Not only can you make ice cream or frozen yogurt, but you can also make slushees for the kids and frozen margaritas.

      • Jill

Thank you for your replies. For some reason, I just remember YEARS ago when my mom would make it for holidays, that she had to cook the mixture forever before it was ready to put into our crank machine…didn’t want to deal with that!

        • Amanda

The great thing about this is you don’t need Ice or salt. The bowl freezes in the freezer for 24 hours and it literally takes 15-20 minutes to make the ice cream out of ingredients you probably already have!

A great way to put my Swagbucks gift cards to use! Kids will love this! Thanks!!

  9. Megan

Thank you!! I can check off my BIL’s birthday present now. 🙂

  10. Amanda

Funny! This is what I used my Amazon gift card for. I have used it twice….it is AWESOME!!!!!!! Get it, it is SO worth it!

  11. Jamie

And we were researching a good ice cream maker!!!! this just may be the one.. and for a great price!!

  12. Lacey

My inlaws got us the Cuisinart one for Christmas that does ice cream, sorbet, and frozen yogurt. We made ice cream last night for the first time. LIterally, my husband through the ingredients in and we had ice cream in 25 minutes (ameretta ice cream).

Note: We did all the heavy cream it said and our mouths felt greasy. Next time, we are going to use Half & Half. Just an idea for some of ya’ll. Besides, CVS carries half and half, so you can get FREE by paying with ECBs.

  13. michelle

yay used that amazon gift card from earlier in the week to get it for 17!! Thanks so much for posting! I LOVE ICE CREAM!

  14. Patti G.

It’s funny I was just telling my boyfriend yesterday how awesome it would be to have one of these. Plus I had a $10 gift card from viewpoints I hadn’t used so I got it for 27.10! Very excited to get this! Thanks!!!

  15. Donna

Hi. Just got one. Our kids were eyeing one up over the weekend. We like that it makes sorbet and frozen drinks too!! Thanks Collin!

  16. Orawan

I just got one too. I am also using $20 voucher that I bought from Social Living (pay $10 and get $20) so…I end up paying $17.10 (plus $20 from the Social Living)… It’s a wonderful deal. My husband always wants ice-cream maker… thanks so much for posting the deal!

  17. Mitch

It’s a lot of fun, but I just got rid of mine.
Just like with my mothers chocolate frosting recipe, I find it is too easy and tasty to eat the unfinished product!
Sugar and cream that is slightly cool.
Yum and I blow up even fatter!

We have a manual ice cream maker from the early 1900’s… love it the old-fashioned way! 🙂

  19. dani

wow…talk about impulse buying….just bought one! actually, I’ve been wanting one of these for some time. Hoping that it’s as good as the reviews. Now I have to get off the computer and go exercise! ice cream doesn’t do much for the figure 🙂

  20. Crystal

Thank you! My daughter has been asking for an ice cream maker, and just yesterday expressed her disappointment in not receiving one for her birthday. She’s going to be so excited to have this!

  21. cassie

Thank you! We were planning on getting on in a few months, so glad I will spend only 22$(using swagbucks giftcards and leftover from the social living!) for a good one.

  22. amanda ross

I got one of these as a gift 7 yrs ago. It has been wonderful, instead of ice cream (made with whipping cream), we make frozen yogurt (made with organic yogurt- like stoneyfield or greek). Ive made blueberry, mango, strawberry- the kids love it and its healthy.

  23. Jamie B.

Thank you! We have been wanting one for awhile but I was waiting for a good deal. My mom has one and makes awesome sorbets that my kids love. I can’t wait to surprise them when it comes so, we can have sorbets too:)

  24. cathy

Thanks Collin!! I used my $20 Amazon credit that I purchased for $10 and I also had a swag gift card credit for $5 that I used leaving me a balance due of $12.10 I was waiting for a really good deal to use my credits. And what a better deal than an ice cream maker that doesnt require salt. I can hardly wait. Now Im going to go back through everyones comments to get some good recipe ideas. Wooo Hoo!!

  25. Carol

Thanks for the great find! I was given a cuisinart chopper for christmas that I need like another hole in the head. I’m taking it back and got this instead. Can’t wait, we have the freezer space to just keep the freezer unit in when we are not using it so whenever we get the urge we can whip up a batch.

  26. Anonymous

I have had a Cuisinart one for years and love it, would recommend getting 2 bowls. Also, The Ben and Jerry’s Ice Cream book is full of recipes that have never failed to please, would highly recommend it!!

  27. berettas314

Thank you!! I wanted an ice-cream maker for Christmas, but didn’t get one. I just ordered! Such a great deal. Thanks again 🙂

  28. olga

Thanks Collin!! my kids will love this.

  29. Jen

Just a thought for you who are ordering. If they have a good deal on another one of the “bowls”, you may want to order another one. It makes enough for a small amount of ice cream. If you have a family of four or want to make for a get-together, your “bowl” has to refreeze before you can make more. I love mine, but sometimes… it’s just not enough! 😉

  30. Sara

We have one and it’s the BOMB DIGGITY!

  31. Linda

We also have this ice cream maker and it is awesome! The kids love that you can add in things like crushed Oreos or mini M&Ms towards the end of the 15 minutes mix time and get homemade blizzards that taste 100 times better!! No salt and no ice needed!

  32. Lana

Those of you that have one…..any thoughts on needing an extra bowl? We have a family of 6.

    • Jamie

We just bought the 2 quart with an extra bowl because we are a family of 10…I think it’s a great idea!!

  33. Tina

I have one of these and have had it for several years (same brand) it is great and so easy to use. It makes a good amount and the ingredients are inexpensive and easy to put together.

  34. Rachelle

I have had one of these for over a year and love it!! There is only one down side….its way to easy to use. We were making ice cream way to often and it started showing on the scale. But I highly recomend this product!!! Fantastic!

  35. Jessica

We got the same one last week on Macy’s clearance for $29.

  36. Jessica

I got this ice cream maker from the in-laws for Christmas. Full price is a steal for it, so seriously this is an amazing deal for a fabulous product.

  37. Tricia H

I used my gift card from the deal and some swagbucks gift cards ! i had to pay &.10 plus the 10 bucks for living social- looking forward to making some treats!

  38. Cindy C.

Bought this for my 13yr old daughter for Christmas. She has been having so much fun making icecream and it is super yummy!

  39. bridget

Is this a good price for this or does it get any cheaper? I would love to give this to my sister / sister in law for christmas

  40. Heatherili
